Here is a letter exclusively from Altantuya’s elder son Mungunshagai, nine years old. It was translated by a non-governmental organisation  based in Ulanbataar, Mongolia.  The letter came in the wake of too many negative reports of Altantuya in the media, especially the latest report of Baginda revealing his alleged love affair with her. The letter is addressed to all Malaysians:

People call me “Joohnoo”. When I was little, I was small, so my mother fondled me and called me “Joohnoo”.

Also my mother was a small woman, but she was intelligent, clever. She was seldom a woman.

Brothers and sisters, Malaysian police and dear Baginda:

For those who have seen my mother, how did they get the idea to kill my small mother?  Didn’t they think of anything when they killed my mother?

Don’t you have a mother or sister?

I was going to school, caring for my sick brother and waiting for my mother.

My little and sick brother can talk.  He always asks, when will his mother arrive? She went so far from us, when will she come back?

Whom will I kiss when it is New Year? To whom can I present flowers?

When my classmates talk about their mothers, I feel sad and my tears drop. I am a person eventhough  I am little.

My grandfather arrived from your country; he said your mother died due to culinary intoxication. But I found what happened to my mother from the media and newsletter.

I always kiss my mother’s photo and love her  in my spirit. I pity my grandmother when she cries,  reading the Buddhist sutra and lighting the candle in front of my mother’s photo.

Sometimes, some woman looks like my mother when I walk on the street.

I wonder who is that Malaysian person who killed my mother and made me and my brother forever orphans.

We need more money now for my brother’s treatment!

I hope that there are kind people, judges and leaders in Malaysia. Hope, they will all help me and my little sick brother.

Please publish my open letter in your newspaper.

From: Son of Altantuya,  “Joohnoo” and brother,  Atanshagai.

How could those people plant bombs to an already dead body??

  7. Dear children,

As a father, a human, a person, a Malaysian — I just do not know where to place my face. How could such a cruel and inhuman crime be committed in a land that parades to the world its religious stature and rigourously dictates to the population a religious conformance above all else — day and night.

No one, guilty to whatever measure, should be spared the punishment of the law on earth and certainly heaven will etch their cruelty permanently.

I pray that my government will not only serve justice but also be seen to be serving justice.

And to my countrymen –whatever their status or power I say this: JUSTICE DELAYED IS JUSTICE DENIED AND WHOSOEVER IS GUILTY OF THAT CRIME OF DENIAL TOO MUST BE PUNISHED.

Dear children, my silent prayers are with you — always.

Remember that Bolehland’s “Caring Society” slogan, anyone? It can’t have been that long ago can it?

When free speech is restricted, criticism disallowed and thinking stunted – all in the name of “responsiblility” to some, how can a society improve itself?! Hotair when put to the test, vapourises in an instant.

    Eddy Chua’s claim that
“These criminals wont get away. They will have to pay very severely for what they done…” might not carry much weight in this 3rd world godforsaken country with a deeply-flawed judiciary. In the end, a (handsomely-paid) scapegoat will admit to the murder and be jailed, while the real culprits will get off the hook to enjoy freedom, wealth and power. Mark my words.

The heinous crime perpetrated against a fellow human being like Altantuya, regardless of his or her race, colour or creed is a shameful cowardly act and whoever is or are implicated in it must be punished harshly. Our dear Susan, please let us know when & how we Malaysians can contribute to the poor orphans.

Documents detailing Shaariibuu’s travel in and out of Malaysia have mysteriously disappeared. Were immigration officials informed that the records had been lost, or were they in fact instructed by superiors to erase them?

  21. wits0 says:

Aisyal, mysteriously lost but clearly a most damning “coincidence”. Is this the common modus operandi of the Immigration? That’s another question that subsequently also arises. No investigation, no accountability?!

i wish the iRD loses my record as the immigration did in the case of Altantuya.perhaps immigration shud give free lessons to IRD on this expertise….

Hope we all take note of this verse from Quran.we’r all issued from Adam & plurality of nations & languages are God-willed. To know & not to hate one another is then a natural consequence. Nothing strange cos islam is the natural way..

    quote of the day:
O Mankind, We created you from a single pair of male and female and made you into many nations and tribes, that ye may get acquainted with each other, not that ye may despise of each other?. (Koran 49:13)

  25. mikewang says:

What has losing of immigration records got anything to do with verses from the Koran ?

By the way, I wish IRD will not just lose my tax records, but to inflate it with refunds. 🙂

  26. mikewang says:

I am curious as to what kind of documents were kept by the Malaysian Immigration on the travel of the Mongolian beauty.

    i. Did she apply for an extension of her visa in Malaysia ?
ii. Was she here on any visa other than that of a visit visa issued by the Malaysian Embassy in Korea (or elsewhere) ?

Unless she has some business with the immigration department here, why the hell our immigration department have any record of her except for the disembarkation card which could easily be lost, not just hers, but thousands others because of incompetency rather than intent.

  28. wits0 says:

Mikewang, don’t the Immigration use computers? Disembarkation card surely is a hard copy of what should have been stored in the database, however brief.

  29. mikewang says:

    Witso,

Yes, the immigration use computers. However, all those data on the cards are not keyed in at entry. Neither are all the data keyed out at embarkation point else we’ll have a very very long line at the entry/exit points.

What is shown on the computer are merely entry and exit ie. data stored on the strip in the passport. I don’t think that information is lost because no one denies that Altantuya was in the country at the material times.

  37. Mongolian mother says:

    Dear all,

I am an ordinary mongolian mother of a small boy, just like Joohnoo. My tears are dropping down as I’m reading his letter.

I would like to appeal all of you, dear Malaysian people, mothers and fathers to stand for the rights of these orphans. . Even though our people are bright, strong and proud. We are proud sons and daughters of Genghis Khaan. But as you all may know, Mongolia is still in a very deep social and economic crisis, and it is one of the underdeveloped countries in the world. In Mongolia, every mother works hard to make a living for her children. The same was true for Altantuya. But who will take care of her children now? Whose fault it is? Given these questions, I ask that the criminal, xxx provide these kids with a life-time financial support, and a sincere apology along with an acceptance of his crime.
Please organize a donations fund, and let the world hear aboutn the truthfulness and nobility of Malaysian people.
Please don’t let the murdered mother’s soul to haunt you foreve, let her go to heaven peacefully.

Yours truly, an ordinary Mongolian mother.

  39. wits0 says:

If Bolehland is anywhere near the same league as Japan by way of governance, an official apology would have been proffered by now and due monetary compensation too for her family – without waiting for the actual trial and its result.

This sort of core meanness is being labelled under the “hospitality” banner in an attempt to lure more tourists?!

  40. Bi says:

I have just realised that this was my angel who was murdered. Did not recognise her photos, also I could not see her birthmark above her upper lip.
I was Altantuya’s classmate. Her name means Golden Ray. I remember when the author of this letter Mongonshagai, Silver Ankle Bone, was in her womb.
She was a most compassionate person. Only she recognised my silent suffering and gave me her help unconditionally then. S
She remains in my heart forever and it is heartbreaking to try to even think her last moments.
From what I understand is that her murderer ordered her cold blooded killing as he did not want his affair with her to be known to his family and to others. Mongolian newspaper reported that the murderer promised to marry her and she followed her to get an answer and met her unfortunate end.
Why there is so much delay when everything points to a scenario: love rat got randy and wooed a Mongolian beautiful woman and promised to marry her and disappeared and when she dared to come to Malaysia he ordered her killing!!!
Where will the justice strike and when and who!!!!!!!!!

    Dear Joohnoo,

I’m a Malaysian, and I’m so dissappointed with what some of Malaysian did to your mother… I pray to God that they will get the punishment…
    Be strong son….

  49. Anak Malaysia says:

    To the people of Mongolia.

On behalf of all Malaysians, I hereby convey our deepest condolences to all of you, with special mention for Joohnoo and his little brother Atanshagai over the sad and shocking demise of their beloved mother. Yoohnoo’s letter has touched our hearts so deeply that we find ourselves angry, astonished, disappointed and disgusted at how our legal system has acted throughout the investigation and now trial of your mother’s murderers. Too much evidence have been disregarded and people implicated have gone uninvestigated that it makes our legal system look like a farce.

Some may think that Altantuya was just another foreigner who made a mistake being in the wrong place at the wrong time, BUT if we allow this selective execution of the rule of law to be forgotten, we have no one else to blame but ourselves for allowing the real perpetrators to escape conviction and roam freely amongst us, allowing them to achieve their ambitions to gain more power so that they could protect themselves from any possible attempts to convict them in future.

We already allowed tyranny and corruption to preside over our lives once before, BUT do we realize that even after the tyrant has retired, the tyranny still presides within those who have inherited the power from him? Do we sincerely believe that if we looked the other way the nightmare will pass and our lives will get back to normal?

Excalating since the days of the late Tunku, through Tun Razak, Hussein Onn, Dr. M and Pak Lah we have witnessed ‘first hand’ how the act of approving budgets that lead to excessive spending by creating opportunities for those in power to pillage and plunder public funds has lead to an addiction for more. Things will get worse if we do not do something to stop this madness. I am not a politician so I have no political preferences.

  50. Anak Malaysia says:

Dear Satay Sedap … what we read is a translation from the mongolian language spoken by Joohnoo with an effort by the translator to stay true to the childish remarks any child would say when asking for their mother. When I wrote my comments, I too expect the translator to convey my message to all mongolians in their language and to Joohnoo and Atanshagai in ‘baby talk’. Of course I don’t expect the translator to talk to them about the more serious issues that I mentioned for the benefit of the adults. However, my real audience is the Malaysian public … like you!
