Fourteen people, including eight Pakatan Rakyat elected representatives, were arrested by the Ipoh police at about 11.45am for alleged illegal assembly. Dear Sir,

Re: Release those 14 arrested in Ipoh

We are writing to you, once again, to express our outrage and our strongest condemnation over your government’s ongoing crackdown on freedom of expression.

We are appalled by your government and the police’s latest actions and view this as yet another attempt by your government to intimidate Malaysian citizens from exercising their freedom to express their views. Furthermore, the way the police made the arrests is in itself a blatant abuse of power, unprofessional and an excessive show of the force by the police.

We demand that the fourteen activists should be released immediately and unconditionally. We further demand that your government stops the assault on freedom of expression.

We strongly urge you, once again, to stop bringing shame to Malaysia, a member of the United Nations Human Rights Council. We urge the government and the police to stop all forms of intimidation against the public and respect the freedom of assembly and freedom of expression of the people immediately.

Yours sincerely,

Susan. I came across an article on the description of the various levels of HELL. It is the most disgusted, horrible, fearful article I came across. I lost the article. Susan, could you retrieve that article on your side of the earth? Reason. The period of the 6th letter of RAHMAN is indeed a period of very dark energy and a lot of people are very keen to go to HELL.
Blogging, spinning, stealing, raping, judging, tangkap, frogging, dragging, etc are all voluntary actions which will contribute a corresponding effects. Evil cause will produce a corresponding evil effect….You Reap What You Sow.
Nowadays many people are so keen to go to HELL but, then after reading the article on HELL, it is a terrible place to be. Susan, if you could get hold of that article and publish it on your blog, it would indeed refrain many to continue doing such terrible evil deeds. Hope we don’t transform this beautiful country from Boleh Land to Bodoh Land to Hell Land.

What is the point in writing to Najib when he had expressedly said that he doesn’t “micro-manage.” So he is distancing himself from any and all police action. If Najib is not in charge than who is ? The responsibility must than fall onto the new Home Ministry henchman. His rather low profile – hardly a tweet from him when so much police actions had been taken in recent days marked a new twist in malaysian law enforcement history.

By keeping silent in all these there is then denialability. It is like a musical chair where only the police is found without a chair to rest on. Would the police be so foolish ?

Great strategy but Najib has to be reminded constantly that the buck stops at his feet. MCA and Gerakan silence is truly deafening….not even a squeak.

We still have people who demand that critics should leave the country, then why does the new leader proclaim that this is 1Malaysia, People 1st and Performance now? These fellows who complain must realize that Malaysia is between India and China, geographically it has been fated that Malaysia is made up of three major races. Like it or not the chinese and indians are here to stay. As we fight to evict each other out of this country, please note that there is a new influx of people who will inter marry and demand rights in the future, what happens then? If we embrace multi-culturalism it becomes our strength, if we oppose it, it will be our weakness.

PDRM should just join Umno/BN and work full time for them…and maybe the IGP can even stand for election..!..we are in Bolehland…anything goes! The public then have to rely on private security guards to check crime!..Its mind boggling to witness all this circus act by PDRM…wonder whats more to come..what ever the 13th election will be the end for Umno/BN ..! 1 Pakatan it shall be!!

  29. K P VARAN says:

Every action that the PDRM takes seems to be something like someone blundering through the compost heap. They seem to be lost cases. Just arrest and then release on Police bail. At least it keeps them occupied and in the meantime gives the Opposition more ammunition to attract more supporters to their cause. In this direction the PDRM is doing an excellent job for Pakatan Rakyat and Dato Seri Anwar must thank the IGP for the publicity being given to PR.

But the five workers of an event management company hired to put up the tent for the hunger strike event who were arrested earlier remain in detention.

The five – two locals and three Burmese – seem to be collateral damage in the tussle between the authorities and Pakatan Rakyat.

Perak police chief Datuk Zulkifli Abdullah told a press conference that they were being charged under Section 41 of the Sedition Act as they had tried to put up banners asking the Sultan to dissolve the state assembly.

  38. tulang besi says:

“I know Utusan and BHarian biggest fear right now is another boycot of their newspaper. Already their distribution is hanging on a thread. Another boycott might bring them under”

The way TV3, Utusan, Berita Harian and a few of UMNO talking heads are going, it’s just natural for all Pakatan Rakyat’s state to start boycotting these hostile and biased newspaper and media.

The boycott must start from the highest level of Pakatan Rakyat in the form of:

    a. Barring any Utusan, BH, TV3, TV1+2, NST etc reporters from all official functions, state assembly sittings, press conferences etc

    b. Openly disallow any of the listed news outlet from covering PR and their state governments

    c. Relaunch boycott of Utusan and these newspapers. We must drive their sales by at least 30%. My internal sources in Utusan and Berita Harian is praying day and night that the idea of boycotting their newspaper doesn’t cross any of Pakatan Rakyat’s mind. Trust me, any sort of media boycott will effect their bottom line DEARLY.

    d. Create conduits for genuine news from Pakatan Rakyat via blogs, websites, official party organs etc

    e. Revamp and improved the current party organ in terms of distribution and content. What’s wrong with Harakah having a sports section?.

    f. Start the leafletting movement down to the grass root level. Make it a monthly activity for all party machinery at every level down to cawangan.

    g. Increase PR state official organ from the current rate (tens of thousands) to at least hundreds of thousands and make sure distribution is spread out. In 2004, people who received the PAS/TErengganu state newspaper voted for PAS.

    h. Medias which is fair and friendly, must be given a special status i.e. special seats, regular meetings with leaders etc. Do not treat medias which is free and friendly the same way we treat the UMNO owned medias.

    i. Retract all licenses related to premises owned by UMNO owned media i.e. cancel the permission of TV3 to operate from Bandar Utama. Trust me, no one will care.

    j. Get the TV3 transmitter out of Bukit Lanjan as soon as possible or anywhere within the Pakatan state areas. Make sure they do not any outlet in our states

It’s time we play hardball with these devils.

What’s the point of being friendly with them? Whenever we say anything good, they will not publish it. And whenever we have a slip up, they will amplify it.

Give me one reason why we should entertain them?

When facing these UMNO owned media, no coverage is MUCH BETTER than having coverage for any form of coverage from these pack of wolves will almost certainly result in negative or twisted type of coverage.

At 2.30pm on Wednesday, 25 June 2008, Senior Assistant Commissioner (SAC) II Mohd Rodwan Mohd Yusof met Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan in room 619 of the Concorde Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Prior to this secret meeting, Rodwan and Saiful spoke on the phone at least eight (8) times.

Three days later, at 2.00pm on 28 June 2008, Saiful went to see Dr Mohamed Osman Abdul Hamid of the Hospital Pusrawi to ‘complain’ that he had been sodomised by ‘a very important person’ and that he wished to lodge a police report. The doctor, however, found no traces or evidence that he had been sodomised and suggested, for purposes of the police report, that Saiful go to a government hospital.

Who is Rodwan, other than the fact that he works for the IGP and is known as the police chief’s bagman and go-between with the organised crime syndicate that controls all the drugs, prostitution, loan-sharking and gambling rackets? Well, read the following archived reports to get a better understanding of this scumbag and slime-ball named Rodwan. Maybe then you can understand why he met Saiful in a hotel room three days before the sodomy allegation against Anwar Ibrahim exploded.

4pm, FRI: Malaysian Chinese Organisations Election Appeals Committee
(Suqiu) has said it is “confounded” by Prime Minister Dr Mahathir
Mohamad’s likening Suqiu with the threat by communists in the past and
    the extremist Al-Ma’unah group.

Suqiu secretary Ser Chun Eng told malaysiakini today he was “wondering
why” the Prime Minister made the comparison in his National Day speech
(PM likens Suqiu’s actions to communists and Al-Ma’unah, Aug 30).

He reiterated that when the appeals were presented to the cabinet in
September last year, they were accepted in principle, as stated by MCA
    president Dr Ling Liong Sik.

In a press statement yesterday, Suqiu expressed shock and objected to
Mahathir’s comparison of Suqiu with communists and Al-Ma’unah
