These topics can’t be discussed on radio. But I think, what Rais Yatim is mostly interested in is…….

Not SEX! But Opposition politics.

What can be discussed then … ? We’ll just end up a dumb nation. This is Najib Administration for you.!

Rice, one time law minister who was muzzled in the Madey administration continues to wag his tail non stop from those days. These freaks have reduced themselves to mindless mutts to keep their bosses in power. Now it’s too late to muzzle up the rakyat, old man.

  5. ktteokt says:

Better close down all TV and radio stations, newspapers and other mass media and let BN do what they like! This sort of government is simply USELESS! Time to kick them out!!!!!

  6. caravanserai says:

The 7 deadly sins for radio
The Djs can’t spin out into the air
    It is taboo under Albino
And the black knight wills it so

    When it is gone underground
People will talk until the cows come home
It doesn’t flow with the current slogan
    It is just meaningless tagline

    Basically afraid to lose power
Along the way projects and prosperity
All these summing it up properly
    Culled the peoples’ minds
Don’t let them free to discuss

    It is the black knight
The baggages heavy he can’t throw away
The village lords bowing to wash his feet
    Now they can roam freely

    Every decision against the people
A nail will be hammered in
Until such times people bidding time
    Occasionally making some noises

    When GE 13 arrives
    It is party time!
    When frustrations and disappointments
They rule it democratically in the ballot boxes

    Its in opposition politics.

    Its sex.

    Its current issues.

    Its also Isu Agama.

Maybe they want to ban discussion of Altantuya but camouflage it with this directive????

  12. Leong Yook Kong says:

Anifah had mentioned the “woman that cannot be named” in US voluntarily. The IGP was the first to ban it in Bukit Gantang. So and so had banned it for TV. ISA for Anifah.

  17. Echo Sounds says:

Let’s echo what Rice told Rais.” If you are angry with us its okay, but if we are angry with you, it won’t be okay”.

It sounds like the rakyat telling BN/Umno this too.

  18. wits0 says:

Rais is in fact trying to push the paradigm shift ever more towards assaulting the minds and feelings of the people so as to ingratiated and enhance himself with his oppressive party. Makes one thinks of the final stage of madness resulting from syphilis.

  19. cktan says:

just curious… this Rais who’s suppose to be heritage minister before this had a directive with the words pAmbangkang??? wow… this is insulting. and when he said pembangkang, means tat no mention of BN as well cox they are pembangkang in Penang, Kedah, Kelantan and Sgor now!!!

  20. Aimee says:

Does it mean Bernama Radio 24 got to close down soon?

In this age of information, our great Minister of misinformation is trying to block all info from radio and TV. We must open our information so that the next generation will overcome today’s sensibilites. America is a potporri of cultures and religion, by their openess slowly they have accepted diversity and made it to a strength. When is rais going to learn. Forever under the coconut shell proverbly.

Yeah right – not politics. Its the sleazy, off-beat sexual pathos of rape, buggery, perversions etc. That’s why Altan…. oso cannot mention. Notice other crimes stories are not banned.
Since peabrain Dr. Rais’in doesn’t want the 7 ‘original’ sins of his making, we Malaysians may only be able to read asexual, nonracial, nonpartisan, apolitical, nonreligious Nonsense about the goings on in this nation. We can therefore claim to have access only to International media. In that case Penanti and Perak, is a non issue.
    Yep, we are idiots.

  28. Pegasus says:

Its really pathetic! Now, the dinosaur in the cabinet is trying to outdo all by coming out with such ridicolous rule.!!! Bolehland is already rule by stupidos, trying to make the people stupid as well is just not going to work!!!. This S-hole who tried to break up the Coliseum Cinema during his tenure as the Arts & Heritage Minister had to abandon his plan after a public outrage over the matter. As the foreign minister , he lost an island to S’pore and got us a twin rock and called a win-win situation!!! Bloodly Idiot!..The quality of our ministers are shameful and embrassing to watch them speak and act…we might as well bring Mr Bean to the cabinet and he won’t be lost..!!! The dinosaur is way behind time, with the internet age , we don’t need the radio, let the dinosaur listen to his own tune and get himself extinct!!!!

  29. whispering9 says:

“….we might as well bring Mr Bean to the cabinet”

In his bungling ways, Mr.Bean could at least bring us genuine laughter. Maybe this time, RY might be able to lose the revenue for RTM and bankrupt one of BN audio/visual machinery. Moves like changing the TV2 sword fighting series from 7pm to 6pm and removing the 8pm movie premier are considerably helpful in emptying the coffer. 🙂

  34. daryl says:

LOL… those are the fun topic. Now all you hear in the morning while driving to work is “ini adalah rangkaian Radio RTM” than silent for the rest of the day… nothing to talk about. Why! For example, if you talk about education you might bring up the scholarship issue. Next, if you bring up children they might end up talking about NEP… you see my drift…. So, just cancel radio program… Play the white noise and that might keep BN in power forever… oh I forget most get our news online in 21st century….

  38. anonymous mama says:

    Who let the chimp out?!?!!?

  39. billauchris says:

Did Rais Yatim realise with the following juicy issues imposed say on the local press media, they will wrap up in no time.

    1 Politics (opposition parties)
    2. Sex
    3. Racial issues
    4. Language issues
    5. Religious issues
    6. Sultanate (Malay sultans and agong)
    7. Moral issues (current politics)

My question to Rais Yatim is why the imposition or prohibition applies to the Radio and not other mass media?

Is this policy not tantamount to gagging the mouths of people who which to express their opinions through the Radio?

Then we have to kiss good by to BBC etc

I feel that to introduce such a ridiculous ban on the radio at this juncture of our development and progress is like taking one step forward and three steps backward in our march towards the Industrialised economy in 2020.

Rais’s mind needs a thorough wash-out and overall cleansing. He is still living in the 50’s and 60’s.

  42. zztop says:

I do not and have not switch to TV1/TV2 since day one. They are just mouthpiece for the Umnoputras. What made it worst is that we now have a new info minister who knows NOTHING, practically ZERO about his job. He is better off selling “chicken rice” in his kampong. Is it amazing in Bolehland they do not have people with good credentials to run an importamt ministry like Info.
That “chicken rice” guy should be called Minister Of Misinformation la.

  43. Cummin'? says:

Sorry to digress, but i find this quite interesting and extremely rude and insulting for PPP’s M. Kayveas in humiliating Deputy Minister T Murugiah who was sacked from PPP to go and check in a mental hospital. This is the most outrageous humiliation of power-play display by Datuk Kayveas.

Personally, I find that Murugiah is a responsible Deputy Minister and has carried-out his job quite well and he should file a legal suit against Kayveas for such statements.

    __+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Relax brother. Hahahahhahaha. Scuze me. Sorry (for the laughter) mate. Kayves, like all BN (MCA, MIC, Gerakan and other underlings) party leader despot bears similarities with it’s style of persecuting it’s members.

    – Chua “humsup” Soilek of MCA was doing ok until a sex scandal brought him down. But as a Health Minister, he performed quite ok. So, it was the behind-the-scene hidden hands to get rid of him of his Ministerial post.

    – The same fate is suffered by UMNO’s Khairy Jamaluddin. Being voted as UMNO’s youth chief, he was deliberately deprived of any deputy/Minister post wherein the losers like Mukhriz Mahathir was instead appointed a Deputy Minister against party tradition. Khairy is a moderate voice in UMNO. He was against the barring of web portal – Malaysiakini & Malaysian Insider by UMNO in covering the UMNO party-election. The voices who blamed Pak Lah for the Bersih/Hindraf (2007) rally for not using appropriate measures like the ISA to detain dissenting voices are Khairy’s contending opponents in the UMNO youth-chiefs election(2009) which Khairy was not supportive of draconian laws like the ISA.

Just like other’s anew, others had concocted a crime to oust Murugiah. Was his(Murugiah) “real” sin was his assistance rendered to the family of A. Kugan at the hospital to assessed incriminating evidence on the Government/police version that Kugan was drown????

If anyone read Steven Gan’s “The Omerta”, – that alone fits in perfectly well in the Malaysian way of daily-life. And to be a bit “kaypo”, to Prabakaran’s anger of Kayveas (I think I got what you mean), no need lah. Even leaders of the BN under UMNO lives by the Omerta.😀

Credit to Steven Gan for his “omerta” editorial. Stevie should be awarded a Pulitzer honor for that article alone.

Rais also called on the private broadcast media stations to be pro-active in helping to develop the society and country. He said some private television and radio stations had failed to adhere to laws that required them to play patriotic songs. I have a small advice to Rais. Playing patriotic songs to enhance unity and patriotism is so 60’s and outdated. People who listen to rock music can also be patriotic.

Rais needs to change his own mindset to be able to understand and communicate with the new generation.

PUTRAJAYA, April 26 – Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat has denied blocking the release of an investigation report into the scandal-plagued Port Klang Free Zone, saying its still classified and threatened suing a business weekly for its reporting.

The Transport Minister said today it was up to the Port Klang Authority (PKA) to release the report by PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC).

But he added he was considering submitting the PwC report to the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC) and the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) when it is released.

“There is one business weekly that had never approached me for any interview that deliberately painted me as a stumbling block to the release of such a report,” Ong told reporters but did not name the publication.

Manoharan wants Bumiputra status for all born after independence

SHAH ALAM: Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf) leader M. Manoharan today called for all those born in Malaysia after independence to be accorded Bumiputra status, saying that this would truly unite Malaysians and give 1Malaysia some meaning.

Fresh from being released from Internal Security Act (ISA) detention, M. Manoharan may well be courting trouble again with his speech at a teatime function today.

“I want to meet the prime minister to propose that we accord Bumiputra status to all Malaysians born here after August 31, 1957 to dismantle racial barriers,” he said.
