I was away for ONLY two weeks, and the world has changed. Not quite.

We are still on the topic of frogs, defections, hopping and what nots.

PERAK is at the brink of collapse, into the den between BN’s thighs. That would be a better title for news, right?

Because does anyone know for sure now what will happen?

Since whether it does fall or not depends very much on the Ruler of the state, the Sultan.

Although both BN and Pakatan has met the Sultan, he is yet to say a word.

What does that mean?

If the Sultan agrees to allow BN to wrest power from Pakatan, does it mean he support BN or the Constitution?

Hahaha. I am confused. Only months ago before September 16, the spotlight was on Anwar Ibrahim, who wanted to seize Putrajaya.

His detractors called him all sort of names. Anwar said a lot of things, that is being said now by his detractors, such as “no money involved’ (Najib).

Who would believe? No one. That’s right.

No matter how the two PKR (now BN) state assembly persons deny that they were never being kidnapped, no one believes.

This situation is not really good for BN, neither it is for Najib.

Contempt for the government increases many folds as many would think that BN has seized this state illegally.

So lets see what the Sultan does.

If he is in Najib’s camp, he would allow BN to accede to power?

If he supports Pakatan, he will allow the dissolution of the state assembly.

In any case, I pity the people of Perak. It seems you are not the one to decide your own government. They call this democracy.

Ps. I got this in an email:

if the sultan perak does nothing about the power grab by bn, the sultan will be doing something, he will be sokong the devious najib/umno way of doing things. the sultan has to put a stop to the najib/umno hijacking of the state government, otherwise the reputation of the sultan and royalty in general will be destroyed. the najib/umno trickery in perak must be defeated, the people of perak deserve the government they elected march 08 2008. the people of perak most certainly don’t deserve a government that came to power through devious means. the people of perak also deserve to know exactly what was done by the various people concerned as well as why and how it was done. safeguards should be put in place to prevent a repeat. if threats were made to pressure adun-adun to jump ship, those threats should be investigated as criminal intimidation.

So what do you think?

PR was destroyed by a double whammy, PR members and BN. Three frogs and a lady frog whose rocket misfired resulted in PK destroyed by ‘friendly fire’ I mean ‘friendly independents.

    Hi everyone,

It’s best to return to the people of Perak to decide on which party they would give a fresh mandate.

All the ‘trickery’ by both sides is undermining the confidence of the people in their elected representatives. As HRH The Sultan of Perak is supposed to be non-partisan, and I believe that he is, there is a great likelihood that he would allow the dissolution of the Perak State Assembly, and return to his subjects the democratic right to choose the govt.

    Well said Susan!

  6. My2cen says:

    Welcome back Susan!

I thought only the ADUN who has the support of the majority of the assembly can seek the Sultan’s approval to form a new state govt. In what capacity is Najib to see the Sultan ah? Is he also now the new MB in-waiting for Perak?

  7. Talhah says:

Do not bring Sultan into this. He is a non-partisan entity and is acting to the best interest of the rakyat. And remember He picked Pakatan Rakyat goverment after 2008 election. And Pakatan Rakyat has failed to keep their house in order. Pakatan Rakyat has lost the game the game originally set-up by Pakatan rakyat. There is no “sokong” this and “sokong” that here on part Sultan. Daulat Tuanku.

  8. Anonymous says:

Sorry, you got it wrong. Whoever got the majority support in the dewan, the constitutions clearly state it is legal to take over the govt. When the Bota assemblyman shifted to PR, you supported it without any complaint. In fact Nizar said it was a cleaver act to do. But now when PR YB shift to BN, why all the fuss are being rised? WAKE UP!!!. Who are you to say majority of Perak folks supported PR? Take a mirror.

  9. wandererAUS says:

The final outcome from this very important decision from the Sultan, will determine the future role of the Royalties. I hope, they have not forgotten, they are there because the people still give them the respect. Politicians come and go, the royal subjects stay. Is is obvious, the electorates of Perak have shown the desire for a fresh elections because of the uncertainties which ever party form the new govt. Will His Highness grant them their wish or join the circus?
A bad decision will have grave consequences, not only to UMNO but, to the Royalties as well.

We must all look at this setback for PR positively and creatively. Do not lose hope for Malaysia because God has a greater plan beyond the obvious cat and mouse game.

Look at the irony of the situation: The unethical cross over planned by Anwar failed last September. However, God may allow the devious cross-over and reverse takeover of the Perak state government by BN for one very good reason: the whole population of Perak and the country will start to see how unethical and undemocratic is the BN in trying to gain power.

Let them have win the war of cross-overs but they will definitely lose the battle for the hearts and minds of the voters.

  22. avanowen says:

Game is over. Let start a fresh. Good bye.

  28. billauchris says:

At one time, BN was so afraid and apprehensive that PR was going to take over the Federal Gopvernment by enticing BN MPs to cross over or hop over to its side.

The rakyat know that BN wsa sore for being so badly thrashed at the General Election in March 2008. I for one would not believe that BN would just sit tight and do nothing to let PR run the State.

For the past seven months or so, the sycophants in BN have been doing their utmost and eveil best to blemish the Opposition at the slightest mistake in an effort to distract the public from its past stinking deeds.

At the same time while trying to tell the whole world that party-hopping was undesirable and unethical in a democracy, it did not say a word nor wink an eye when majority of the PBS elected members crossed or hopped over to BN; thereby unfairly wrested control of the Sabah Government. There is no ethics in my view when it comes to seizing political power from the opposition party. A lot of money is at stake.

In Perak, I blamed PKR for its failure to admit members who are corrupt, greedy and power-crazy. I bet the two
members who are quiting the PR must have been mesmerised by the Juta-juta Ringgit dangling before them. They just succumbed to the bait unfortunately

Being a Perakian, I am ashamed that such despicable happening came to pass. I would like to see the battle-royale to be fought by BN and PR once more time at a fairly contested election. To be fair to all concerned, the State Assembly shall be desolved. A fresh election must be called to decide one way or the other.

Parakians you must exercise your rights to determine who you want to rule Parak – BN or PR. Don’t let your rights be trampled opon by dirty money politics and dirty politicians.

  29. Talhah says:

    Dear AJ.

    Your outburst is ill placed.

Please be known the party/coalition that holds majority not necessarily will be automatically be entitled to form a government. The precedent is -“the stability ” of the government ie. In case of Perak 2008 BN also submitted their application to form Perak Government stating that PKR coaliation is a lose one and can create instability to the State. Please bear in mind if the Sultan sided with BN He is freely pick BN as the government even BN is not being in majority provided He has the full confidence that BN can bring stability to the Perak Government as oppose to PKR. Nevertheless if He picked BN in 2008 it will trigger another fresh election in Perak in 2008 as BN must seek a fresh mandate. Being a fair ruler and being a person of such stature and thinking to best interest of rakyat He picked PKR. Daulat Tuanku.

Aj Please consult your lawyer opps sorry your Constitutional lawyer (any lawyer wont do) before you start calling people begap and bodoh. Thank you.

    Dear fellow malaysian,
the situation here is pretty grim, it is a true sample of how our DUN candidates behave.

Pakatan must learn not to add those “lalang” or the one who only thinks of themselves and not for the ppls that they represents in the next general election.

for the Sultan, its his choice. I have no objection on what our ruler will say about this as he is the state ruler.

What ever the Sultan say, everyone must accept. IF BN wins, they does not win it fully. there are 28 opposition in the State DUN, if BN did not do anything good for the ppl of Perak, regardless of race, Feel free to accept defeat next general election.

for the YB Nizar, its Malaysian Politics. everything can change in a minute.

if the Sultan gives another chance to vote, Perak voters Please come home to vote your own choice. we need to sweep off the corrupted, “lalang” and those unwanted ADUN for the sake of the ppls.

    Dear Susan,
Please have some respect to the Sultan of Perak, will you? I have faith in the Sultan’s strong wisdom, that he will make a wise and good judgment according to the constitution. Why blame him? If Perak falls it is because of Anwar’s arrogant and his ambitious Sept 16 plan. And of course due to those clowns in Perak as well.

It was just less than 2 weeks ago that Anwar and the whole Pakatan leaders were chest thumping about the entry of Bota UMNO Adun, Dato’ Nasaruddin into PKR and look what happened now??

How am I so entertained by the circus in Perak..

In my opinion, Perak Sultan should consider about the below options.

    i. Agree to Dissolve the Dewan Undangan Negeri
ii. Advise the 3 independant ADUNs to resign and let EC call for by election at respective seats.
iii. Request PR and BN to form unity govt.

We shall never forget, the Perak Sultan is the one who come out with the idea for PR ADUNs to sign the resignation letter inadvance incase any of them who want to withdraw from PR govt.

Do you think will Sultan Perak eat his own words by allow the BN to form the Perak State govt or not!

Let’s pray the Royal Highnace to use his wisdom to make the wise decisions which will put the interest of the Rakyat Perak at first!

  40. Shanker says:

    Yo Shahnon

Doode, that’s why Susan’s article poses questions, and not necessarily “condemns” HRH…

Really, the best thing to do now is to dissolve the state assembly, and take it back to the people of Perak to decide.

Not a decision for any one man to make. Even if he’s royalty.

That is how democracy works, bud.

Instead, HRH decides to “think” about it – really? What further thinking needs to be done, when the situation is so grave?

This is not about DSAI vs Najib etc etc. In fact, even with all the chest thumping earlier by DSAI re Sept 16 etc etc, the correct approach would be to dissolve & seek fresh mandate.

It’s about what the people want.

And believe you me, at this point in this country’s history, there are more of those who don’t want BN than those who do.

Alas, it is so hard to believe that the will of majority continues to be over ruled by the minority, in this day and age, simply because the wicked have the means to do so.

    UMNO will fall.

  43. observer says:

the initial BN guy crossing over to PR was just “wayang kulit”. It is now reported that he is back to BN’s fold. I think the whole reason for him crossing over was a set up so that Najib/BN will say that PR started the whole crossing over game.

It was a well played thing right from the start.

End of the day, all politicians are crooked and not to be trusted be it BN or PR.

What we need in the government is check and balance so that the party governing us do not have absolute power.

all this would not have happened if an “anti-hopping law” is being enacted so that non can be bought over…ending with the rakyat’s money not be used for corruption.

  44. eurokopter says:

The fact that when PR formed the state govt they make an akujanji with the sultan, and they must abide by the akujanji. They also signed an undated quit letter to resign if they crossed over to support the opposition. The DAP mama also made a statement that she is not resigning from the DAP as seen in the TV a day earlier.
In view of the above and also to a lot of question marks on the reason for the cross-over, I am of the opinion that the right of the wakil rakyat is not important. It is the right of the voters that is important. So to be fair to the voters, it is better that a fresh state election be made.
I am sure the sultan, being an experienced and wise judge before, can make a just decision. So leave it to the sultan.

  45. Khairy Jmaluddin says:

I was just back from oversea as well, Susan.

Please never trust The Sultans (any Sultans), including Sultan Azlan Shah and Raja Dr. Nazrin. From the records, their assertions in State matters are beyond their powers to intrude such as -the demand of a Malay over a Chinese Menteri Besar where DAP has the most State seats (though race is not a problem to me but Her Majesty’s outright intervention).

From the speeches of The Perak Sultan and son which is ever inspiring for example – the Monarchy oversee the State affairs with impartiality is a total inversion of their true conduct.

Malasyia should do away with the Monarchy system which leeches us “dry-n-clean” (living on taxpayers money) and go for a republic – like Singapore.

I hate the Sultans but Prince Harry of Britain is ok with me.

I now believe DSAI has failed tremendously as he had under estimated the power of money controlled by the Najis family…..Yayasan Tun Razak; CIMB blah blah blah!!!! He should have gone to the Arabs for money & doubled the offer to counter such attempts. He is accountable for the choice of such irresposible FROGS!!

I am dissappointed in him….& he needs to come up with a brilliant counter measure immediately!! For a well read, having knowledge of what the umno goons can & are capable of doing, his priorities have been wrongly set. BUT surely he is aware of sun tzu’s “ART OF WAR” ….KNOW YOUR ENEMY!!! I believe Najis has memorized it as a defence minister.

Good luck to PR! Another factor may be the in fighting in PR, things like hudud, positions awarded to friends overlooking merit in many.

Nasi sudah jadi bubur!!! The Sultan is bound to respect the Federal Government’s wishes….the benefits will be ten fold if he does so!!!! So PR can continue to squabble over their greed etc. The Kedah MB is another arrogant man who is in his own delussions & believes that PAS is superior and does not need any support from the non malays. His arrogance may lead to the downfal, yet of another PR government.

And if HRH decides status quo remains, HRH must accede to MB Nizar’s request for dissolution of the assembly as is required by normal parliamentary convention.

    Dear Talhah,

Since you’ve taken time to reply to my outburst😉, I shall now do likewise.

    And after considering every aspects of your points, I have the following to say;

    1) Since when a government chosen by democratic means holding even a simple majority is deemed to have lost its entitlement to govern by reason of instability. Who decides a government to be instable? Under who’s advise Tuanku would take into consideration to pass his fair judgement? Would it be an advise of the Rakyat who’s spoken via ballot results or would it be an advise of an interested party or to be exact, the losing party?😉

    2) Next, how could one decide that the PR coalition is a loose coalition when various events had taken place and announcements had been made preceding GE12 that DAP/PAS/PKR would go into GE12 contesting under one banner and declaring BN as a sole and common opponent?

    3) Furthermore, the whole PR institution has not commenced governing in the first place after winning the State. How could Tuanku quick in making judgement that PR government was an accident waiting to happen? The old cliche “not tried and not tested”? By perception? Who’s perception was that? Who’s perception count?

Considering all, but not limited to the above, how would Tuanku draw the line then? By democratic means, surely..and, you and I know that the power to choose has always been with the Rakyat..

And if Tuanku really needed any past precedent to decide stability or otherwise, he would not have to go that far back than 2004 when Kelantan governed the state by majority of 1 ADUN for the whole term. And mind you, it was under another form of coalition ie. Barisan Alternatif with several Keadilan seats. And why BN never bandied about instability then? Why now? Why Perak?

I did not consult any experts with Constitutional knowledge. I only consulted my conscience. Rightly or wrongly, I only know one thing. And that one thing is Umno has in their banditry ways robbed all of us of our rights, wealth and welfare. If any of you guys still think that this is acceptable, God help us all…

    Talhah, I rest my case.

Let the people decide. Call a snap election and settle this once and for all. With such a slim majority this kind of uncertainty will never end. Please voice your opinion as loud as you can. I am sure the Sultan of Perak will understand this after all.

I feel like the people of Perak have been cheated. Few people voted for a party unless that person is very high profile or well known. I have never heard of those PKRs and that DAP representatives that defected until now. I would have voted a Pakatan member even if they place a cat as their representative.

I am also calling for tose young man and women who has turned 21 to register to vote ASAP. You can do that at any Post Offices or representative offices of any political parties. Do it now before it’s too late. This is your God given right to have you say, in case they too take that away from you.

This is a very sad day for me to see this happening in my Home State.

For those woring in KL or outside Perak, be prepared to take leave should a snap ellection is called. You must teach those BN a lesson.

BTW, I am very happy to say that current MB and his team is doing a wonderful job. If only you can find people like that in BN.

Finally, should a snap election is called, please finished off that remaining MCA representative in Perak. No more MCA, MIC, Gerakan, PPP etc representatives in Perak. These parties are weak. no back bones, gutless and can’t be trusted.

  64. The very fact that Tajol Rosli stepped down is only a prelude to this unfolding drama in Perak.

It is purely to save face and safeguard Najib’s battered image after the debacle in Permatang Pauh & Kuala Trengganu by-elections.

It, according to the Najib camp views, must be done at all cost…hehehehe…now you all know why basing on the following happenings:-
    a) could all three ADUNs be “missing-in-action” and not traceable at the same time?
b)could all three ADUN appeared at the same time at Najib’s press conference?
c)could all three feel the same way over their displeasure on Pakatan Rakyat at the same time?
    d) could Nasaruddin be coincentally at the same Najib press conference as the other three ADUNs and expressing the same lingo about their perception of Pakatan Rakyat?
    e) could this, that, those, these…etc be so nicely falling into their respective places….call it fittingly matched?

You and I, an all logical Malaysians would know the answer….ask Najib.

The Sultan of Perak should be able to decipher this, that, those, these and the lot to drop the bomb shell on Najib who incidentally also played his cards by first calling in his press conference that BN has the majority with these four kataks. Fire the first salvo to steal the show and put pressure on the sultan.

What a shame in this immature Malaysian politics!!

Have (Money) Will Travel reads the card of a (politician).
A knight without (honor) in a savage land.

His fast (post) for hire heeds the calling wind.
A soldier of fortune is the man/woman called (Adun).

Adun, Adun, Adun, Far, far from home.

He travels on to wherever he must
A (few pieces of silver) is his badge of (greed.)

Good luck to the future. Shame on those who promoted this culture…both BN and Pakatan politicians. Now you can see…nothing can justify this despicable action. They will turn either way to the calling wind.

  68. The more I ponder over it just now, the more I felt that most Malaysian politicians are no better than prostitutes who would sell their “bodies” (ie their elected positions as ADUNs or MPs) for whatever use their masters would dictate upon their “bodies”.

Do you know why so many people frown upon and reject prostitution. It is the highest order against one’s integrity to sell your own “body”. Not even God can forgive these people for selling and horse-trading off this gift from Him.

Being labeled as one, a prostitute would remain a prostitute; no matter how much she (including “he” here in this Perak saga) does to cleanse herself (including “himself” here), she ( and “he”) will remain as one. These are even worse than soldiers of fortune.

“No backbone” in the context of the Chinese proverb aptly depicts these 4 ADUNs’ character and support by Najib for these 4 ADUNs speaks much of Najib’s “integrity”; more so when 2 ADUNs are now facing court cases themselves.

It has to be the court case threats by the people in power that did the hoodoo; otherwise how could so many coincidences happen like a domino effect; felling one after another. Desperado or desperate-doers? Your guess is as good as mine.

    Dear Talhah,

Since you’ve taken time to reply to my outburst😉, I shall now do likewise.

    And after considering every aspects of your points, I have the following to say;

Hee,go to hell with the UMNO goons..

  80. Khairy Jamaluddin says:

    Dear “hahaha”,

It’s all about – “a game” isn’t it? Najib/UMNO 1st planted one of it’s ADUN’s crossover to Pakatan Rakyat without protesting where the real “sandiwara” has long began – to buy over some of the PR ADUNs.

When the deal with the Pakatan Rakyat’s Aduns’ are inked – in a contrivance that they (the PR Aduns) are made Independents and leaning and supporting BN, the one who FALSELY defect to Pakatan Rakyat exhihit the real game – that he was all the way a “plant”.

Sorry to tell the truth – Anwar Ibrahim is defeated by his own game. Najib pretended to legalized crossover when Anwar seems to be edging where in reality Najib has the upperhand.

The masquerade is very trenchant, isn’t it? One thing that we must not underestimate – who is really behind this state-of-the-art game? Mahathir Mohamad even cautioned BN that if the 2 defectors from Pakatan Rakyat are found not guilty of a corruption scandal, then BN’s image would be marred (alluding that both’s Aduns left PR and support BN in exchange for an exoneration in their graft case).

When AAB was cleverly ousted by Najib when the former promised to handover the power to him in 2010, he(Najib) didn’t have to do show it to AAB – his gangs -Rafidah Aziz, Muhyiddin Yassin, Rais Yatim, Shafie Apdal (the UMNO warlords did the dirty jobs for him). And of course -Mahathir Mohamad was the one behind it. I saw the highlights on TV when all Najib, Muhyiddin Yassin were present at an invitation at a dinner – similing. You don’t have to know or hear what they are saying to get the point, yeah? hmmm, I am wondering of that as well……

As a RAKYAT of Perak. I deeply feel the way to form a new Govt should go back to basic. Let’s all the Perak people to choose again. Also is a fair competitive base between BN and Pakatan Rakyat after the 308 election.
On top of this, again proved that M’sia politic is weak & shaky. The Assemblymen is chosen because of Party but not him/her contribution to the community. This is a concern for the future of M’sia political development. What are you expecting our M’sia gonna be in the forthcoming time?

Is a shame for all the politician who simply quitting to another party like they are going in & out at their own house. Is this a good representative from the RAKYAT? Think twice if the same person who gonna contest again the next coming election.

Just wonder what’s the impact after this Perak Govt falls incident. Is this will happen like THAI? Change & change again without ending?

  95. Peronito says:

I am disappointed to see what is currently happening in Perak. I really do not support BN at all, but two things have to be highlighted :
    – mediocrity of politicians crossing over for reasons other than political beliefs is, in this case, under responsibility of PR. It is a serious warning that PR coalition is not ready to incarnate real change against BN. Better it happens now than later at federal level.
    – voters have voted and from a strictly legal point of view, we cannot discuss the issue of election (that is : to provoke a new election) simply because of assemblymen’s mediocrity. PR is simply paying its weaknesses, and this is also democracy.

To conclude, I am really sorry to observe, that PR men are unable to behave in a more noble manner than BN people. This country will never change as long as corruption is everywhere, and 4 elected people changing their mind from white to black shows how poor their probity is. Good reason to lose faith in politics. Instead of discussing like football supporters, PR supporters should better firmly condemn such behaviour and accept the fact that their party is the only responsible for the situation… But such a statement requires a maturity that I am not sure Pakatan Rakyat have…

PR and their leader, AI, should not complain as they started the game and lost. Hopefully they should just be a good loser and wait for the right time to topple BN in the next round. But to do that a real clean-up and a cohesive opposition front is needed. Squabbling amongst three parties have got to stop especially in Sabah and Sarawak or else NTR will win the next round which for PR to lose now.

As for POLITICAL FROGS,POWER and MONEY, it is a Malaysian pastime. Corruption is just “TEA MONEY” which is the grease which makes the SYSTEM RUNS smoothly in Malaysia.

Want to get rid of our common enemy and disease, all citizens over 21 must register as voters and make sure we develop a two party system.

Poor Perakians, you are not the only victim of money politics and Federal power play. Pairin and PBS of Sabah also fell down before. Ningkan and SNAP of Sarawak also. All because of political frogs! Cheong should “SPLIT” them all or rather “spit?”.

It is obvious that this Govt is not capable of leading us out of the economic crisis. We need a change and real soon. I beg the Sultan of Perak to give his rakyat a choice to choose for themselves who they want to govern them. A win in Perak for PR would naturally lead to a better future for Malaysia – at least the flame of hope will continue to grow stronger.

  105. Talhah says:

    Dear AJ.

Like i said consult your lawyer first. The mechanic of law as per question 1/2/3 by you as posted by shall be answered. Specifically ask him to look at Undang-Undang Tubuh Negeri Perak, Malaysian Constitution, and some precedent facts and cases concerning simple majority government like Perak GE 2008. and do not limit the precedent and reports to Malaysian shore only. There’s precedent from India/New Zealand etc ( commonwealth countries)too for consideration. Simple Majority rule is unlike 2/3 majority. Simple majority is not an out-right win. Therefore 2008 GE Perak was an excellent opportunity for this issue.

Please do not get side track and romanticise the issue here by talking the will of the rakyat, about your conscience how you were robbed by UMNO bandits etc bla bla im not interested. The issue is the role of the Sultan back in 2008. The role that i asked people here to REMEMBER and why we should leave Sultan out of this.

IN 2008 the Sultan of Perak had a difficult decision to make. The decision as one can recall was deferred several times. As a non-partisan entity he the Sultan Perak must consult the Law of the land and must decide to the best interest of the rakyat.. Not even his conscience can help as his conscience might be wrong and might PARTIAL to certain factions or quarters.

Both BN and PR made their submission. Both BN and PR equally had the locus standi, the merits, the facts and law to do so back in 2008. But PR had the advantage. They only had to show the numbers whereas BN had to show why PR should not be the government and why the Sultan should consider BN as the minority government. Yes there is such thing as minority government and its part of democratic process.

And He chose PR and the rest was history. REMEMBER THAT..

And as for Kelantan we can only make guesses. so it wont serve any purpose here to go any further.

    Thank you.

  106. U-dog says:

Hands up to agree Peronito statement. PR in future must start to look after their each party members. Especially all elected Assemblymen. Quality always despite of quantity. Bota Assemblymen is one of the example. This could lead to break the whole ally purpose to against the BN power domination in M’sia if this kind of mistake take it lightly.

As a Perakian, i’m concern what’s gonna happen after this? Perak already been left out of development compare to other state in the past few years. Now become a state of Political Circus venue for BN. It’s really hurt to every Perakian and i believe this definitely is a joke of the year 2009.

    Dear Talhah,

Mechanics of law and reality of perception will never mix. In current political impasse, the majority of rakyat relied on the latter…after all politics is about perception.

Notwithstanding that, Tuanku Sultan’s decision is flawed since it is used before any vote of no confidence is made in a proper assembly. So much for someone who once said that the role of Istana is just for formality purpose…Like it or not, he went against his own words. Rhetorical now it seems…

buat malu saja ,shame on you,no maruah, you deserve to be stone to death.real betrayal, your millions will bring you no where only shame.

  114. Talhah72 says:

    Dear AJ,

Please dont get confuse with the role of Yang Dipertuan Agong (concerning the Parliment) and the Role of Sultan (Dewan Rakyat). They are not the same.

Please cross refer Undang-Undang Tubuh Negeri Perak and our Constitution both for the vote of non-confidence and whether the Role of the Sultan is merely a formality.

His Rakyat is not only from PR. So in the matter of perception you just cant please everybody but as long as you within the correct work frame of law the Sultan is good. If he favors PR with the current situation what the rakyat from the opposing faction will say? This is exactly why He must rely to the letter of law.

So people please stop this idea of like the Sultan is being unfair to PR, not neutral etc. REMEMBER what he did on MARCH 2008. Also as a rakyat (Perak) please be fair to His Royal Highness also.

    Thank You.

  115. AJ says:

    Dear Talhah,

It would help if you list down differences between Undang2 Tubuh Perak and the Constitution for not so learned people like yours truly. Should not take much of your time, just the gist…

So that we can see whether the likes of Karpal Singh, Professor Aziz, Malik Imtiaz or even Ku Li himself are wrong in their interpretation of the 2 set of laws…

Well..who knows, I might be convinced with your argument that I could perhaps jump ship to join Umno again…;-)

Have a nice day..defending the King

  116. gopal says:

PR made a mistake for choosing the wrong candidate, like the Changkat Jering fellow is only a former postman!. So the next time pls choose the proper candidate. This not the end of the world for PR. In 4 years, they can even take over the federal government esp so when Najis become the Prime Minister!!!

  117. fosgate says:

Sultan is the one who put Nizar to be MB evens thou there are a lot of arguments.

Sultan is the one who choose and accepted the government who will govern and be the administration of his people. Usually Sultan will follow Rakyat vote but that doesn’t mean Sultan cannot do otherwise.

As a neutral and having a solid and constant hope for his Rakyat, Sultan will choose the best one to govern the state. In this case he chooses not to dissolve the DUN and let BN to form a new government.

If you haven’t read how Sultan let PR set up a government on the 8th of March 2008. PR hasn’t been legally established yet till today. BN on the 8th of March could use the law to denied the coalition between PKR, PAS and DAP. But Sultan of Perak knows that his Rakyat wants the PR as PR has a majority at that time, so he let PR set up the government. BN accepted it even thou they do not want to lose their state.

Now things have change and BN has the majority. After considering what has happened to his state in 11 months Sultan made his decisions. I’m sure he knows well what the best is for his people. He knows the law better than any of us.

How could you expect PR coalition that haven’t got a firm stand in a lot of important matter to lead you??? BN in the other hands has already establish a firm stand for 50 years and today has promise to changed for the better to suit the Rakyat needs. We need a stable goverment that can lead the us for a long term, not a popular goverment but only can lead us in a short term.

Is the palace shrunk? what has happened to the Sultan and no state election…ridiculous! running side track already.
