To all you wonderful people out there, SELAMAT HARI RAYA or EID MUBARAK!

Have a meaningful aidil fitri celebration with your family and friends.

Yet never forget the struggle…I envy all of you back home.

There is no raya mood in Bangkok, which I miss so much. Perhaps, all I can do to feel close at home is to go to Secret Recipe in Siam Paragon and have a plate of nasi lemak😦

But nothing beats the raya songs on TV and radio, the green ketupat decorative lights in shopping malls and houses, the raya cards, anticipating and waiting for all the good Malay food…even the masisve traffic jam is excusable…

Hope you enjoy yourselves…and see you back here again when the feasting is done…

Maaf zahir batin.

  8. KC says:

    Salam Syawal!

This Raya is more of form over substance. Sure, there’s light & Raya songs in the mall, but the Raya spirit is sagging many notches down. For that we can certainly thank the present government for screwing it up for the rakyats.
Hope they can enjoy their catered 5 stars Raya feasts.

    Maaf zahir batin…
