The embattled Election Commissioner Abdul Rashid Abdul Rahman (ARAR) says we should be prepared for a snap poll.
He says he is not one to speculate. And yet speculate he did, big time, to tell his returning officers that a snap poll may be called anytime.
Or is this one of his hearing problem?
Remember, the govenment merely “suggested” that he cancel the use of indelible ink in the 12th General Election? He went ahead and took it as an order.
Here are the reasons why a snap poll can be called: UMNO members defecting from the party en masse; fueled by Mahathir Mohamad’s “shocking” resignation; and Anwar Ibrahim insisting that he “had the numbers”.
But me thinks, it is only for this reason a snap poll will be called – to make use of the 48,000 bottles of indelible ink!
Hahaha!
me thinks it’s another plot to make sure that BN comes back with the appropriate number of seats. no more silly “mistakes” that had pakatan pulling off 5 states…well fellas, me thinks we should all really ensure that they bite the dust this time…for good.
He`s diverting attention from questions being asked as to who made the more tha RM1 million on the indelible ink:
August 14, 2007 – The black ink from India, which would cost less than one million ringgit, would be applied on a voter’s left forefinger, the paper said.
deccanherald.com/Content/Aug142007/foreign2007081419086.asp?section=scrollingnews
February 23rd, 2008 – The indelible ink, costing over RM 2million, will make its first appearance in a general election here.
topnews.in/malaysian-poll-body-requisitions-47-000-bottles-indian-indelible-ink-221864
Between August `07 and Feb `08 someone has made the difference of more than RM1 million.
The reason for all these conflicting statements is `cos the thieves are fighting over the spoils.

PKR kicks off campaign to win S’wak
Tony Thien | May 26, 08 12:12pm
# The party’s ambition is bolstered by the huge turnout estimated around 5,000 rarely seen before at the Kampung Gita ceramah attended by Anwar Ibrahim on last Friday
48.000 bottles of susu kacang…..and an ERECTION!
…hahahaha….
Its about time, someone kicks this “guy” out. He is just seeking publicity, by making “stupid” press conference.
The EC should be at any time ready for any elections. And its the primarily task too. So there is nothing to advise or say to EC staff to get ready for a snap election. This Abdul Rashid fellow is simply making a fool of himself and same time discrediting the EC
KICK HIM OUT FIRST!
Snap Election? Make it a Tsunami+earthquake+tornado+cyclone in one and give it to them. The Raayat must firmly believe that the system must change NOW or NEVER!!!
48,000 bottles of susu kacang ….leading to an ERECTION….
….hahahaha………………..
Snap Poll ? Yes, I have heard from more than just the EC Chairman.
Its to pre-empt Anwar’s froggies.
The UMNO Insider’s logic – go to the polls while they still have incumbency.
If they go into GE13 without the benefit of incumbency, habislah, finito UMNO, tinggal kenangan aje.
But it just goes to show how out-of-touch UMNO is from the ordinary people. Maybe UMNO is now into 4-Digit betting
Mahathir sticking pins in UMNO.
Price of rice gone up 50%. Everything naik, everyone tightening belt except UMNOputras…
UMNO’s West Malaysia lapdogs are still in shell-shock mode.
Gerakan – walking zombies.
MIC – Will anyone vote for Semi Value ?
MCA – OKT vs. CSL.
Seppoku, anyone ?
If the Chairman is concerned on the surplus ink, I suggest that they give them to the education department; to dye schoolgirls shirts from the present white colour. I’m sure PAS will help them with the dying process.
Badawi had all these in mind….he planned it or maybe the 4th floor guys did it for him!
Why did he extend the tenure of the Erection Commission Chairman??he wanted a ‘yes man’ to be the head.
As for the plan for usage of the INK…It was all a sandiwara!!!
I wouldnt’ be surprised that BN WILL WIN OVERWHELMINGLY should a snap election be required. Reason: the RAKYAT believed that they had misjudged on the opposition on March 8 2008, and hence they have realised their mistakes, and voted in OVERWHELMINGLY BACK FOR BN.

Two thumbs up for you, brother! You should be promoted to the 4th Floor to teach the boys and AAB a lesson on ‘Fast, Effective and Creative Problem Solving Strategies’.
max,
let us all then help them to overwhelmingly and decisively close shop for good..
If a snap election is called, then they have no choice but to use those indelible ink now. I am not surpries if a snap election is called as the King may not be willing to appoint PR as the new government even if they have the number. This is Malaysia we are talking about, whether it’s Bolehland or BodohLand!!
All I can suggest to you all is to spread the word and get as many young men and women to register so that they will not miss out to vote. I know that they are many young people who are eligible to vote didn’t registered for the last election.
Max, somehow I tend to agree with your comment too. A lot of them may have regretted for voting the opposition. Let see what happen next. It’s a pity that people can keep on voting for the same party for so long even though those people are so obvious that their purpose in politic was solely for wealth creation.
If it’s involving people in salangor, I bet most of them regret having voting for opposition at that time. Looking at what the new Selangor MB, he idnt reallly do justice to PR. So saying that, there WILL be a handful of votes swaying back to favour BN for sure. Probably they think the “trial session” for opposition party (Pakatan) is over.
Snap polls is wasting more of our money!!!! We just had one 2 months ago. This time we’ll not only stop at 5 states….I think its obvious they still do not understand what has angered the rakyat which only means we have to kickthem out completely!!!
Yup, time to go back to smelly but familiar beloved BN …. 🙂
Like the perpetually abused wife who finally decided to quit, but turned back within 10 yards from the door…
So, BN is going to run on its record, eh….What has BN done since March 8 ?
[…] Loone’s Blog said something funny about that […]

50 years of wrong, they expect PR to fix it in just 2 months!!
some people are just unbelievable!!
i agreed with kittykat46, anyway, what has BN done since March 8?
…”I bet most of them regret having voting for opposition …”
no regret lah 🙂
snap poll or not, Anwar will be PM soon!
Susan dearest,
The Election Commission is being in ready mode, just in case. Nothing to say that a snap election is imminent or even likely. Nations have contingency plans for all sorts of events like disasters or war even though nothing is on the horizon. It’s better to be ready than caught with your pants down.
max said, “I wouldnt’ be surprised that BN WILL WIN OVERWHELMINGLY should a snap election be required. Reason: the RAKYAT believed that they had misjudged on the opposition on March 8 2008, and hence they have realised their mistakes, and voted in OVERWHELMINGLY BACK FOR BN.”
max, please tell me why. Has PR been worse than BN as state governments? Have they been more corrupt and more arrogant? Shall we scamper back to the comfort and safety of BN’s corrupted rule of which more and more wrongdoings are being exposed?
Yes, I agree that many people voted opposition to teach BN a lesson but from what I can perceive, they have not regretted their choice. They will vote opposition again if they are given another chance. Tell me, will Penang folks vote back Gerakan and “a Chief Minister without power” when they have experienced DAP’s pro-Rakyat rule?
Oh no, not another round of election again! Yeah,Susan, you are right!
Perhaps RaSHIT and company couldn’t dispose off those 48,000 bottles of ink – their mouth and asshole are too full of these ink and they couldn’t take in anymore. So they thought it is better to show us the ink than having us breathing down their necks all the time.
Artemus 22 ,yeah you are right! And get Munirah Bahari to supervise the dyeing job and of course her stamp of approval too.
Snap poll very soon? May be. This time around, if the RAKYAT were to vote, my predictions are: In Peninsular Malaysia, in the West Coast esply,, some who have supported PR in 8 Mac 08 GE, may vote BN this time for they feel that the punishment is too harsh. But in Sabah and Sarawak, Johor, Melaka, Pahang and Trengganu, especially in East Malaysia, things might be just the opposite. BN’s strongholds may fall like dominos. The people there have missed the boat on 8 Mac, and this time, they would want to put their names in history again. The results may be even more extraordinary than 8 Mac. If BN, SPR thinks that they can win, they are dead wrong. The RAKYAT will sure remember the sweet moment when they hit the arrogant, corrupt and hegemonic BN and UMNO on the head and knocked them into the drain. The RAKYAT is not stupid, and they will make sure arrogant politicians like Noh Omar, Toyo, Ali Rustam etc pay heavily this time (they never learn, don’t they). Anyway, a word for PR, gear up and get ready, the snap poll is round the corner once Anwar gets the number of MPs he wants to form the Gomen. Be extra alert. BN and UMNO esply, will never want to see Anwar as the next PM, they have too much to lose. They will use whatever they have to block Anwar.
….I am expecting a coup d’etat….really!
…susu kacang expects something weird….huhhh?
Now ..where’s my susu kacang?
Ha..ha..ha..
Snap poll-can we suggest only for Federal Election only. Let see how BN is playing game. But make sure Anwar Ibrahim is allowed to contest. As it is, DSAI are not received any acknowlegdment from authority freeying him to contest.
i say bring it on..we shall again do all that is necessary to get rid of all these evil warlords. this time, we will make sure we show no pity. we will do a complete whitewash..
Let have the Snap election anytime now. This time BN will be buried for good and this time the final rites will be given properly in case they want to rise again to rebrand their parties after their death.
Pakatan Rakyat will form the federal government and this time around, those corrupt BN leaders will be brought to court and charge them for all the sins committed by these idiots. The EC chief is a cuckoo, who will say one thing and do another ,presumely under orders. BN is planning something big and the Pakatan Rakyat should be prepared for all eventualities. The Rakyat is ever ready and if there is free and fair election ,then the victory is for the Rakyat.
Snap election
To satisfy the losing leaders
Running, panting hard on the streets
Dreaming about their lost gold
Eyes full of glow can’t forget the darkness flow
EC chairman
He should retire now
He shouldn’t be issuing public statement
He thinks he runs the government
O the ink!
Finger pointing nobody takes responsibility
Is the indelible ink in store?
In 2007 it was costing $1 million
In 2008 it is $2.4 million
It was easy money if that was true
48,000 bottles of ink
Dancing in darkness
Singing their tunes
BN got chicken
People got short-changed
Now BN talking about snap election
Covering tracks once again
This time BN will be buried
Deeply into the sinking sand
Remember they want their pot of gold
They can’t sleep since March 8
In case somebody says differently
I am a BN member way back in Selangor
I gave up when I can’t agree
The way they behave and do things
Leaving the people begging
Scholarships, housing tenure, land
And the one sided policies
Leaving the crumbs for the others to pick
Take it or leave it seem the order of the day
Snap election
BN will see their plot of holes
Lying aground waiting for the fall
The people should do it
Wishing them a good night sleep

Dear sandyow,
Just like you to know here in Penang, we’re very happy with our new government. Many of us have asked our family members, relatives and friends to return to contribute to the development of the state.
We never ask what our state can do for us. We just ask ourselves what we can do for our state.
Selamat Tuhan kurniakan
Selamat Pulau Pinang
Negeriku yang mulia
Kutaat dan setia
Aman dan bahagia.
Majulah jayalah
Negeriku yang kucinta
Bersatu dan bersama
Untuk negeri kita.
To Sandy Ow and others who are going to support BN, here are some questions for you. Are you staying at Mahkota Cheras or have you been there when the police sprayed tear gas and chemicals on the innocent residents? Why don’t you go to Kajang Police District and send a protest letter to the OCPD and asked him whose order was that? Or why don’t you confront the CPO of Selangor on the police’s acts? I think the Rakyat of Selangor will want the TRUTH from the police. They want to know exactly who is behind Zainal Abidin, the ED of Grand saga, former Dang Wangi Police Chief. By the way, Malayisakini reports that by next week, Zainal Abidin is going to close the access road again, why don’t you act on behalf of all the Makhota residents and demands Khir Toyo and Umno heads to settle this problem once and for all. The Rakyat of Selangor is not stupid. It only proves one thing: Taking down the State BN and UMNO is not enough, Rakyat needs to take down Federal BN and then send all those who misused the authority and the corrupted ones to prison.
Dear Susan,
Has anyone computed the cost of a G/E at the taxpayer’s expense with the ink wastage cost, the BN win at any cost because it is not their own money, etc?
The EC & BN doing a trial & error practice again!!!!
Presently, all the BN leaders have histories sometime, somewhere in their careers & BN has been brought down to this lowest level of INSINCERITY, CREDITABILITY & DELIVERY to this great nation, its assets & the downtrodden rayaat in 50 years.
Whilst the nation’s assets have been scammed, the nation & its downtrodden rayaat have been cheated, abused, intimidated & victimised, these same people in self denial, arrogant self destruct mode now want to ochestrate “New Clowns in same uniform & New Uniform with the same Clowns…what a joke !
Recycled politicians have past histories which might not be acceptable to Head of States, parties , constituencies , our investigative bloggers & the rayaat.
We do not have a True, Honest & Dedicated Political leader in BN with a clean record & the BN Institution just cannot be reformed in a day, a week, a month or even a year with the New Clowns in same uniform & Same circus clowns with new uniforms.
I personally believe that ultimately God will anoint the True Leaders of this great nation not necessary from any party.
Who knows…a Phoenix could arise from the ashes of BN as a True Leader for Malaysia & Malaysians!
Just look at YB LGE, the new CM of Penang. God blessed him (which even he did not expect) for his sufferings & abuse by Man in trying to help the Innocent.
`Who knows…a Phoenix could arise from the ashes of BN..`
But first the BN MUST turn to ashes – and it has a long way to go yet to ash stage.
It`s a pity that tarring and feathering is out of fashion. The EC commisioner would have looked rather pretty with that.

For me, it is not true. I regretted that I didn’t try my best to encourage more friends to vote PR. Now, I’m even more eager to vote PR. It is unbelievable that you have such short probation period for them. Of course, you have the right to vote for BN. But I’m very surprise that despite reading this blog regularly, you still support BN.
IF SNAP ELECTION HAPPEN IN MALAYSIA, IM PRETTY SURE BARISAN NASIONAL WILL COLLAPSE JUST LIKE THE COLLAPTION OF 5 EX-BN_BASED STATE!
BOIKOT UTUSAN!
Has anyone seen the ghost of Mugabe recently?
Snap elections? Makes no difference. BN will lose more than five states this time around. Only way they can win any state will be their dependence on phantom postal votes which they have been using to remain in power over the past 50 years.
The EC should better spend their time (and our money) checking and ensuring that All phantom voters are erased. Of course this also applies to postal voters.
Ensuring that the new state governments under PR have no funds to carry out remedial works, the previous BN state government had made sure that the funds were all utilized. Th the eyes of the less educated, this would appear that the newly appointed government is useless and are unable to fulfill their manifesto.
JUST ENSURE THAT PR SECURES A COMBINATION OF TSUNAMI, CYCLONE, EARTHQUAKE, TYPHOON WIN THE THE NEXT GE.
Political commentators Ong Kian Ming and Oon Yeoh, who have been running the hugely followed Realpolitik Podcast via Malaysiakini, today reported what they heard in the grapevine, that if there’s any party that might leave Pakatan Rakyat at the eleventh hour, it would be PAS.
The duo said the key reason for PAS to leave PR is quote unquote: “to cooperate with Umno, no less, for the sake of ‘Malay unity’”.
http://www.jeffooi.com/2008/05/pas_to_join_umno.php
I dare BN to do a snap poll, this time they will lose sabah trengganu and sarawak along with the five states under PR
I read with amusement the “concessions” given to the Sabahans by PM in response to their demands after the general election. Are they really happy or satisfied with the”gifts”?
I see nothing much more than ” Vitamin M” in the basket.
The biggest problem is still not being resolved. We have now a high-powered committee headed by the DPM to oversee the illegal migration problems faced by Sabah. Another boo-boo of the BN in trying to dilute the population of the indigeneous people of Sabah.
The Sabahans requested to be given more responsibilities at Federal Level in the runnning of the Government but instead none was given except that they now have to govern their own State.
Wow, what an attraction. MPS are given RM1 Mil while SAs
RM400,000 to spend on development. Should not this policy be applied to West Malaysia? Sabahans if you have any dignity and pride at all, you should give back to PM and tell him that it is an insult to your intelligence of the Sabah people. Can you guys be so easily bought over?
There is obviously no increase of ministerial portfolio for Sabah. They are not capable enough. Obviously, the various positions have already been taken up and filled up by UMNOputras.
