We are yet to know how Malaysia’s most famous blogger spend his night in (Sungai Buloh) jail last night!

We are told however that Raja Petra Kamaruddin, who is also webmaster of popular website Malaysia-Today has refused to have any contact with anyone including his own wife, Marina Lee Abdullah. Can this be true?

Raja Petra had been behind bars since yesterday for writing a controversial article about Malaysia’s most high profile murder case – Altantuya Shariibuu. He is charged under the Sedition Act and does not want to post bail until the hearing on 6 October.

What will happen to him until then?

Look guys, anything can happen to him! Let’s hope no untoward incident has happened to him. His wife Marina Abdullah says, shocked that:

“The officer at the registration counter (of the remand centre) have informed me that my husband has refused to see anyone including me,” she told Malaysiakini.

This could means two things. The worst is like “HOPEFULLY, NO UNTOWARD INCIDENT HAS HAPPENED TO HIM” OR

HE WILL BE THE NEXT GANDHI OF MALAYSIA, FOR ALTANTUYA, CONSIDERING THIS IS A MATTER OF INTERNATIONAL INTEREST.

    Sounds very suspicious.

Was the ‘refusal’ actually from RPK himself or by the officer lackey (under instructions from the regime).

I would recommend an independent medical/legal practitioner representing RPK, to evaluate RPK’s physical and mental condition asap.

I’m equally appalled by this new development. How could it be? Many times in the past Raja Petra came talking about his lovely wife and how important she is to him. So when I read that RPK had refused to see anyone including his wife, I could not believe that.
We have to know if it was really the truth or it’s another attempt by certain people to put him under psycho machine hoping to change RPK’s mind before he meets any of his people.

Raja Petra is safe in the hands of God.

The script should read like: RPK goes to jail, refuse bail and refuse to meet anyone, might even refuse to eat, Save RPK campaign launched, Daily demonstration at Sg. Buloh Detention Center and Parliament, PR brings up issue at Parliament every other minute, garner worldwide attention, condemnation and ridicule, RPK caused daily constipations to all BN leaders, a pain in their a*s, RPK issues refuse to die, as court date nears, BN leaders felt pressure that going to court will open up massive cans of Mongolian worms, AG drops charges, RPK release, becomes a true legend of Malaysian political history!

Meanwhile, govt ratings drops down the drains, incite massive defection from BN component parties, Anwar forms next PR govt in September, massive migration of ex-BN leaders to Mongolia by ‘special’ invitation, former PM starts malaysia-yesterday.net website to counter yesteryear allegations, former DPM volunteers as next space lab-rat to test the effect of zero gravity on ex-politician’s zero brain.

And they live happily ever after. The end.

Why the need to handcuff him?? Is he going to run away? He didn’t commit any robbery, he did’t kill anyone, he did’t even hurt anyone? They should not even impose any bail amount. All this looks very bad on our legal system. After the “correct correct and correct incidence” this have to happen. Nasri is right…….IS Somebody telling the police and the Judges how to do their job?? Our legal system is looking ridiculous. Looks worst on the husband and wife team who thinks that they can push their weight around going after RPK. They should be going after the murderers. The persons guilty of murdering Atantuya should be jailed AND NOT RPK.

  21. bamboo river says:

His lawyers has the rights to see him aren’t they?
So, the only communications we can get is thru RPK’s lawyers.

KK46, there will be worst then HELL ( putting into context of the statement) if anything happens to RPK.
Just to make sure while RPK is being used as a diversion where else someone is packing/shredding/removing/burning/C4 ing important evidences before 6th Oct 2008!

An elderly lady at my regular lunch stop told me, “If you hate /despise a person, write down their full name on a piece of paper and wag that paper with your slipper.”
She told me that because everyone is talking about RPK in that shop.
I asked if she meant RPK?
She said no, not that ‘Kong Tow Low’ (bald man)pointing to the newspaper photo of RPK.
I won’t tell whom she actually mentioned to be wagged with a slipper.

Hello Devan, don’t pin any hope that the royals will help. They are a waste of time and real scumbags indeed. Will they step out of their palace to duct their head for RPK ?! Step back 10 years, even then Azlan Shah had no ball to stand up against Mahathir, where was Nazrin during the 22 years of Mahathir’s rule ? Both of these men just cashing in on Abdullah’s lembikness. Fast forward, even today what have they contributed ? Nothing except spinning some hollow talks.

The only royalty I considered the real deal McKoy is RPK, he is the Agung in my heart. The low life of BN government had better not touch him one bit…..otherwise Malaysia will see the first ever real people power in Tanah Melayu. Daulat Tuanku, RPK !!

  34. wits0 says:

I would agree with “Who Done It Says”.

Of the royals who have made some right noise lately, it was a good thing but how many percentage of the whole lot do they represent? They’re also humans and their relevancy to whole picture has to be viewed holistically and historically. Then there is that critical assessment that will appear in people’s mind as to what personal integrity or lack of in their actual behavior over time.

A friend once witnessed Mahathir firing a journalist/reporter in Jln. Riong on the spot. How are we sure that the royals who speaks the right words today have never done similarly mean things themselves?

So Devan, the people really have to depend on themselves, little else.

    But under-estimate not his Intelligence,
    Courage, and Indomitable Spirit

I believe he knows what he’s doing when he refused bail. Nevertheless, let us all keep him in our prayers and thoughts. Thought is ENERGY, and if enough of us send positive thoughts his way, while at the same time directing negative thoughts to the perpetrators of the Altantuya murder, JUSTICE WILL PREVAIL! We have already seen the results over the last 24 hours. There is just no stopping People’s Power now.

    Hi Susan
I sincerely hope the great Raja Petra is OK, not like Anwar who was nearly killed by the former Inspector General Noor WHILE aNWAR WAS IN PRISON TEN YEARS AGO. For Raja who refused to see his wife I do not believe as they are a most loving couple. Most probably it was the Police who do not allow Marina Lee Abdullah for her to see her husband. Only Raja, at a later period will be able to tell us the truth. Well! be patience.

The public and supporters of MALAYSIA TODAY CANNOT TRUST THE BN AS THEY WILL COME TO A STAGE OF ROBERT MUGABE, at 84 who lost the recent General Elections but have hoodwinked the public by not declaring the ELECTION RESULTS, though the ELECTION COMMISSION has admitted for the first time in 28 years, Robert Mugabe has LOST the Parliamentary General Election. The Opposition based on their own reliable information and supported by certain sections of the Election commission indicated the OPPOSITION has also won the PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION. However inspiteof losing the Election, Robert Mugabe, with the backing of the MIGHTLY MILITARY and hos goons to protect their assholes refused to surrender. Instead they started killing Opposition members.

We pray PAK Lah’s Police Force, Courts and those in Authority will NOT follow the steps of ROBERT MUGABE. GOD FOR BIDS.

I hope Marina Lee will not CLOSE for the public to donate to Raja’s account as the public and supporters’ donation funds can be used for other purpose as the SOLE discretion of Jaja and his family.

To say that RPK refuses to see even his wife is simply far fetched and illogical.

If, OTOH, if there arises somehow an opportunity to appeal his internment under something like an amnesty and he refuses to appeal because he maintains his innocence because an “appeal” does not clear his name or prove his innocence, then, that is more logical.

  48. ah Long says:

Harrison…..the cantonese call it “Ta Siew Yan” or loosely translated as “beat the small person”.

This is best done under a bridge or a under a road fly-over. There are plenty of these in KL.

To make sure that it works you must also bribe the “devil”. Go and buy some hell bank notes and some joss sticks and candles. Then squat down (like eating durain like that) and wallop with your shoes. High heels even better, but if the heels break off during the frenzy don’t blame me.

I prefer the wooden clogs also can. They make more noise and longer lasting. Malaysia is good, you can simply burn the hell bank notes and incense at the road side. Don’t worry about littering.

If you can get a picture of the bugger you want to wallop (plenty of pics in the newspapers) it is even better.

When you whack that bugger that time you must keep shouting “Ta Sai Lei”. or loosely translated as “beat you to death”. And occasionally spit at the picture.

If you too shy, you can hire some “Ah Sum” to do for you. Just ask any of the “Ah Khoo” in the pasar.

Good luck, we have to try and send that bugger to hell.

RPK is not a criminal, he never uses May 13 to threaten the RAKYAT, he just revealed the truth in his Blog, so what’s wrong with that? Why handcuff? Those who murdered innocent woman are covered from head to toe, unlike RPK, who stand tall with courage in his face. If those cold blooded murderers are innocent, why covered themselves? I am not sure what the PDRM will do to him but I hope they have learnt a valuable lession from the incident when the CPO assaulted Anwar I. And we Malaysians do not want to be ridiculed by foreigners for what those cruel and insane killers have done to the RAKYAT. Pak Lah, release RPK at once, and ask those who are unhappy to file a civil suit. Also, Pak Lah implement IPCMC immediately, you have promised the RAKYAT, so don’t forget.

No matter how they intend to ‘divide and rule’ us, ALL MALAYSIANS from Semenanjung, Sabah and Sarawak must always remember that WE ARE ONE. What we want is a country that is just and fair to all. It’s the love that we have for our country that brings us together in this platform. Let’s not forget, RPK is in jail today and he refuses to eat because he wants us to feel this love, this strong love that he has for his country. Can you feel the love now?
