The blame game continues …

Former Information Minister (aka UMNO propaganda minister) Zainuddin Maidin (Zam) now blames former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad  for Barisan Nasional’s worst-ever performance in the recent general election. (STAR)

“He must shoulder some of the blame. His various accusations swayed the people to vote against Barisan,” said Zam.

He defended current Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi against BN’s  losses:

It is not right because it is clear that Dr Mahathir is full of anger and uncontrolled vengeance…Mahathir’s “credibility” was “still strong and that his influence on the grassroots, both Malay and non-Malays, is significant. His credibility influenced people into believing what he said and he also lent this credibility to bloggers and websites“.

Zam underscored 3 statements in particular that affected Umno’s and Malaysians’ confidence in the leadership in the run-up to the elections:

(1) When Mahathir said he regretted appointing Abdullah as the Prime Minister;

(2) This was then followed up by Mahathir saying that Abdullah was only meant to be a one-term Prime Minister and that more opposition was needed in Parliament;

(3) The third and most damning statement that was widely accepted by all segments of society was about the role of Deputy Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin (Abdullah’s son-in-law) and his advisers played in the country’s politics and economy – which caused Gerakan adviser Lim Keng Yaik to ask Abdullah to get rid of his advisers.

So, will Mahathir  take the blame for this? Oh, no….according to some, he is beyond balme because he has stepped now.

For once I agree with Zam, much as I detest the man, that “There have been many opinions in the aftermath of the election but Dr Mahathir being a factor was not really mentioned” (At all!).

Thought the right word is “credited” not “blamed”.😉

From Zam’s viewpoint = blamed (kerja lesap). From rakyat’s viewpoint= credited (dawn of a new day).

  2. Laugoo says:

Not true! Mat Sabu was the first to credit him for the poor BN’s failure especially in Kedah but he was shot down by most… bloggers mainly and the issue end there.

  3. Future Malaysia says:

This mamak must apple polish to get what falls from the leader’s table.
Defending the PM – that not his fault for the BN losses.
Must think we are small children in diapers running around.
Best he set up a mamak stall since he can’t do his ex Info ministry job well. What can he do even if he given a post.

  4. L Sim says:

Mahathir’s been trying to paint himself as thoroughly clean and beyond reproach but many of the reasons which led voters to reject BN had their roots in his administration. Thanks to him the Lingam inquiry yielded 5 MPs for Barisan Alternatif! He should just shut and let Badawi get on with a difficult job. Mahathir’s a vengeful, spiteful creature.

  5. ghenjis khan says:

well, you cannot blame god , can you ……. most people think he is god with a small “g”, inlcuding some malays belonging to his party …
well he brought down fro heavens the “manna”.

BTW, Susan don’t you forget Altantuya !

  6. kuda paya says:

    why mahathir???????

  7. SilverSurfer says:

No question about it : 85% of the credit or blame if you like, for BN’s losses is Mahathir. 80% for his overly long 22 years in office and the damage done in that period, and 5% for his current attacks on BN.

This man has a fork tongue. On one hand he asked people to vote opposition and then he blames AAB for BN’s losses. This man not only subverted his own people and country, but now his own BN party as well. Goodness, where does such kind of low lifes come from?

  8. malayamuda says:

he can say that 30% nomination required for UMNO presidency is not fair now , no doubt he’s the bloke who introduced it to safe guard his own position.

Of course now the Supreme council should apologise for approving this silly rule to safeguard one autocratic person to remain in power and make this country his play ground where he could do anything he wanted to anyone and get away scott free

Not Mahathir, certainly not him, he just proposed this stupid moronic law and other brainless people in UMNO approved it cos they knew if they didnt they wouldnt get $$$$$$$$$$$……….

  9. Malaysian says:

I really really hate to say this, but for once, Zam is right.

  10. Allen Tan says:

    Zam,

Please don’r accuse Dr M. He saved Malaysia. If he didn’t nag BN, how can we have such a glorious victory.
Thks Dr M. I love you!!!

  11. sikembangcina says:

Have to agree with Zam. L sim put it correctly and precisely: Mahathir is vengeful, spiteful creature and may I add: full of hatred. He is what a Buddha is not.

SilverSurfer said ‘Goodness, where does such kind of low lifes come from?’ Well, this Mahathir is so full of EGO which stands for Edging God Out – Hence, there is not even one iota of Godliness in him!

  12. kittykat46 says:

Of course Mahathir bears part of the blame…many of the problems facing Malaysia today are inherited from his doings and schemings.
Pak Lah was guilty of not doing enough or doing anything to resolve them, or aiding and abetting the continuing plunder.

PKFZ and the issue of “Direct Negotiations” Tenders are two examples.

In the end people got fed up and took matters to the ballot box..

  13. Antares says:

BN’s losses are are no loss at all to Malaysians. And blame is such a lame word. Nevertheless it was Mahathir’s overweening ambition, arrogance and megalomania that corrupted an entire generation of Malaysians – especially the Malays – and destroyed almost every vestige of decency and democracy in what was then a very young and vulberable country. What did he accomplish apart from squandering trillions of ego props like Dayabumi (a very elegant white elephant), the Petronas Twin Towers, KLIA and the Orwellian nightmare that Cyberjaya and Putrajaya symbolize. Most annoying of all, that power-hungry old fool refuses to shut up or wise up!

  14. clearwater says:

Mahathir is a factor in BN’s losses but he was also the prime factor in Badawi’s appointment as Prime Minister. What Mahathir giveth, he could only partly take away. BN is still in power. Zam should commend himself for he too played a part in BN’s election losses. Come to think of it , there is a lot of credit to go around in the BN camp.

  15. Alexander says:

Why blame Mahathir ??? He has ruled the country with very vey high standards. His set standards have become yardsticks of measurement since 2004. Adoi, how to compare !!!

He had done so well that you can never find one that can even attain 1.5% of his jobs. Lagi teruk bila pemimpin2 sekarang suka lip service sahaja, tidur dan asyik enjoy themselves.

Simple, he made a lot of proud decisions, like KLCC, KLIA, Plus, Cyberjaya , industrialisation, etc etc. bukan tanam pisang, tanam ubi kayu !!!!

During his tenure, he absolutely made us proud being a Malaysian and much richer arithmatically

He done quite a no of bad things, but how to contra with all the other super jobs he had done.

Its that simple. I love him

  16. Alexander says:

    Sorry i miss out.

There is only one reason i blame Mahathir. Duirng his tenure, he has set very very high standards for the current government to work towards. Memang susah la pemimpin2 sekarang. Total impossible for them.

  17. the little devil says:

    All the bad/evil people/ syaitan in the world =Madathir + Suharto + Saddam + George Bush + Idil Amin + …. +…..

Mahathir can say he is hermit, saint, saviour + ……… the truth is Mahathir is a devil…… universally approved and agreed!

  18. Mahathir is very cunning. He is accusing Badawi to distract attention away from his faults in contributing to BN’s loss of support. There is no way Badawi can clean up the mass even if he is a dynamic leader. Yes I agree with zam that the people are not blaming Mahathir because he is a political animal and able to shift attention to others to save his own skin.

  19. Hkengmacao says:

Mahathir should be blamed for the messes he created during his rule not BN defeats in 12th GE.

Zam is wrong to say Mahathir’s “credibility” was “still strong and that his influence on the grassroots, both Malay and non-Malays, is significant. To me, Mahathir is ‘irrelevant’ and ‘nil credibility’.

Before I forget, Zam has himself to blame first, not passing the bucks to others.

sikembangcina : “Have to agree with Zam. L sim put it correctly and precisely: Mahathir is vengeful, spiteful creature and may I add: full of hatred. He is what a Buddha is not.”

Mahathir has a damn big ego ; he thinks he is the only just man in the land but in Buddha’s words, he’s not even a cultivated man. Buddha said that a uncultivated man blames others, a cultivated man, himself. A wise man neither blame others or himself.

Mahathir double speaks throughout with the sort of sophistry that does not bear out to close examination in many of his statements he made and faithfully pronounced like words of wisdom by the most slavish media. He was successfully dictatorial because of complicity of feudal politics and the turned over media. An unfair man at home who cried the loudest about international unfairness.

The fact that no bronze image has been casted for him(he didn’t want one) does not make him any less dictatorial in his ways. In later years especially, it was often hard to find an issue of the Star that does not carry his picture somewhere when it does not appear on page1. He was presented as the only great intellectual and leader of Bolehland.

He was very successfully cunning precisely because there was no real opposition and because his own party is also predatory and in symbiosis with his grandiose diktates and aim. Racism also enables such dictatorship because it effectively STFU a considerable section of the populace by default.

  22. anarky says:

How come his ingelish imrpoves all of a sudden, will no one blame the msm for writing this piece of clap?

    zam, zam the history man

  23. birdbrain says:

Try sitting on a chair with four legs and with one idiot like Mahathir shaking the chair vigorously! No wonder Badawi cannot sit still!?

Malaysians are being insulted till this moment when Mahathir continues to speak his mind. Probably he cannot feel the wind of change. He needs a typhoon to sent him away for good.

The biggest hypocrite on earth still alive!! Damn right he should be blamed for BN’s defeat.

  24. He Man says:

I don’t think Mahathir should be fully blame for the BN losses.
If our PM is that good and capable of running the country that well, who’s gonna listen to that man.
The cause of defeat are endless and but in my opinion, the main cause of concern is Khairy and Hishammuddin.
That’s why my whole family voted for the opposition this time around.

  25. birdbrain says:

How can Badawi govern when he knows that he is only being given one term? While utilizing his time to defend his position, you get morons trying to sabotage him and make sure he doesn’t last another term………no wonder he cannot fulfill all his promises. His grass root support was so weak then and with Mahathir and other vultures aiming for his dead body, he needs all the time he can get to stabilize himself.

I bet my last ringgit he’s doing us all a favor by closing the door on Mahathir and his cronies and of course on Najib too. Without Anwar helping him from outside, he’s long gone. Anwar is waiting to rescue him should he be kicked out by his enemies. Now UMNO is vulnerable and this gives him time to finish the job. Mahathir will make sure Anwar doesn’t come back to haunt him. So he has to grab UMNO now!

But I feel Anwar’s men are ready to put him back to where he belongs should Mahathir try to snatch UMNO away under Badawi’s nose. Who released Anwar from Sg. Buloh and what’s the real reason for that. Anwar and Badawi are bed fellows!!

Anwar will haunt Mahathir, spending 6 years in prison all because of Mahathir’s political conspiracy on Anwar Ibrahim.

These are just some of the low class bloggers.

  29. David says:

When you’re a loser, you’re already a loser so no point of blaming others.
Just think back of the past.
He promised to weed out corruption but alot of our ministers are hefty rich after that.

Blame it totally on the one who leads the country!!!

  30. democratic says:

Dr.M built the base and set the trend of corrupt and selfish politilians. Thank God the present PM at ;least let us have the glimpse of democracy. Can u imagine having the Lingam inqury on if Dr.M was in power? So he has to take the blame.

The daddy set the trend and the umnoputras followed….fortunately the Malaysians have grown p a bit now.

  32. wits0 says:

democratic: “Dr.M built the base and set the trend of corrupt and selfish politilians.”

He did. Basically he was employing expediency in many of his policies that appeal to racist and entitlement sentiments while pretending to be the most righteous of ’em all. He was totally Machiavellian and he established the frequent globe trotting perks for Premiership which Bad awi naturally picks up without fail.

  33. goldenscreen says:

Mahathir is the root of all evil in Malaysia for much of the past 50 years. Every 10+ years he will cause chaos and break apart UMNO to consolidate his own empire. Late 1960s he started agitating the grassroots against Tunku and was part of the ultras whose racist rhetoric led directly to violent clashes between races in Malaysia & Singapore. This led to Singapore being expelled from Malaysia (Mahathir hates Singapore due to his own personal experience). The coup & violence of 1969 is also a direct result of Mahathir and the ultras racial posturing.

In the late 1970s he did the same thing to Hussein Onn. He agitated the warlords to defy Hussein Onn by calling UMNO to vote to release the chief architect of May 13 – Datuk Harun Idris from jail (for corruption, although it was an excuse by Hussein Onn to punish this mass murderer). He pretended to support Hussein Onn after Hussein Onn’s position became untenable and promised to hand over power later to Razaleigh..something the power hungry Mahathir would never do (until now).

In 1987, Mahathir caused the breakup of UMNO and formed the illegal party UMNO Baru after barely surviving a challenge by Razaleigh. The only reason he won was because he jailed opposition and civil society leaders under ISA, sacked the Supreme Court judges and put his own ball carriers there, subverted the police, curbed the powers of the royalty, banned newspapers etc.

In 1998 Mahathir strikes again when he sacked Anwar, put him on trial in a kangaroo court and jailed him, whacked Anwar, arrested pro-Anwar people under ISA. The Malay community became polarised and divided. Chaos on the streets. That is all acceptable as Mahathir strengthened his hold on power.

And now 2008, Mahathir is poised to strike again. How many upheavals can Malaysia withstand before collapsing due to one power hungry egomaniac called Mahathir?

  34. Allen Tan says:

Zam, you are to blame too. When you were in DR M’s cabinet, why didn’t you always checked on him? You people in the cabinet were yes-men and yes-women! No wonder the UMNO is about to bankrupt lah.

    Another great article –

Goldenscreen – you actually took the words out of my mouth. You article is great . work of a genius.

  38. wits0 says:

Goldenscreen, you have summed it all up nicely in a nutshell. I hope the country has the ability to understand some, the cost of hero-worshipping the wrong icon born out of of racism.

  39. jedyoong says:

Aiyoh. If have to “blame” Dr M then cacat-lah. Dr M is no longer PM. He can say whatever he likes. Pak Lah only has himself to blame as BN chairman. Apa-lah.😉

  40. Who Done It says:

Corruption, cronism, nepotism, 30% pre-election nomination (umno), Tun Salleh dismissal, destroying the judicial institution, Eric Chia’s case were some of the masterpiece of mahathir’s and these are just the tip of iceberg. He had 4 deputies, at least 2 of them quit abruptly (to say in the most mild manner). He was absolutely 100% responsible in appointing Abdullah as his successor;no one had any say except him. Now he turned around and so spiteful. His evil plan was to have an average successor hoping to control him from behind so that he could continue to plunder the country’s wealth. Just look at the way he handled the crooked bridge issue; this is because simply his son and and his cronies lost an avenue to enriched themselves’ revenue. He had no heart for the nation from the beginning. Never ever.

I fully agreed with Silversurfer, that this man has a fork tougue. He lies thru his nose without his eyes blinked. No doubt he lies better than satan does. He twists and turn, flip-flop as and when the topic suits his evil deed and thoughts. That’s the key reason why investor shun Malaysia as a destination to park their interest since 1997.

Just looked at the Judiciary system of Malaysia since 1988; the current malaise is no doubt not initiated by and the doing of the current govt.

Don’t talk about standard please, Alexander, unless you are talking about the “sterling” standard of corruption, bribery, nepotism and cronyism at their “best” during mahathir time. Given Malaysia’s resources, we should be at least the richest country in Asia (if not the world); but Malaysia is so lagged behind in many fronts versus Singapore which has nothing apart from a relatively clean govt.

Not that I am a fan of Abdullah (in fact I am not); given tonnes of mess he inherited from mahathir, a person with average intellectual capabilities and weak leadership quality like him has no chance from the beginning. Let’s not kid ourselves Abdullah is the right person; the point here is why mahathir appointed him and now acted so vengefully and with so much hatred and lies.

People like him has no regard for God altogether; though he often potraits as though he is a religious man. So my take is that let’s the Maker deals with him justly and appropriately; and rest the case.

  41. Vaseau says:

The sooner we ignore the old fool, the faster will we get out of the hole he dug for us over 22 years.

Getting us out is a herculean task and Badawi has started the process (albeit unintentionally).

We gained some momentum on March 8th …so let’s move on leaving behind the one who should be properly confined to garbage bin of history

  42. ANg kong says:

As far as I am concerned, this is UMNO’s internal affair. I wont want to comment too much.

  43. pleaselah zam says:

    please folks. please zam.

the people of malaysia celebrated the departure of mahathir by voting in badawi with an unprecedented victory in the history of malaysia. so much about the love for mahathir after 22 years helming the govt of malaysia! that’s exactly history will remember mahathir.

everybody gave badawi their vote he has asked for. but look what happened after 3.5 years? he showed us he does not even possess any managerial abilities let alone qualities of a CEO!

lingamgate? yes it (could) have happened in mahathir’s time. but we expect badawi to do something about it when the whole thing blew open. remeber the chronology of events. he farked big time. my supervisor would have done it better!

mahathir now double speak as many of us claims. i may want to believe he would have done some of the things differently given the benefit of hindsight he now enjoys.

expect him to say sorry. expect him to say he’s wrong! no way to a man with a super ego. i am glad he still has some time left in him to suggest to people now in power to make corrections/discontinue the “wrongs” he may have done.

circumstances has changed and we may need to change. so don’t blame mahathir. you fellas came and promise to erase all that has to do with mahathir. the people say yes. you fellas didn’t deliver on your promises and in fact make it worse. now the people throw you fellas out and you fellas start to cry foul and blame it on that old man. shit! i still remember all you arse queuing to kiss mahathir’s hand wherever he goes. go to hell all you leeches. go to hell you parasites! buck up before the people rubbish bin you fellas et el.

(btw i am no fan of mahathir)

  44. Who Done It says:

Hello Goldenscreen; I have been saying that mahathir is the worst things ever heppened to Malaysia. I thought I am the only one; glad to know in fact I am not.

I work in a MNC; over the years I have been rotated quite a few times. I know and fully appreciate sometimes I inherited “shit”…….It took quite a lot of my resources to clean it. But there were also some structural problem that even my CEO has no mandate to resolve. My company just has to ride through and still paying for it. All I am saying is that mahathir’s left too much of a shit and he is the root of all the evil currently Malaysia is experiencing. Is just a manisfestation what he had sowed over his 22-year tenure as a PM.

  45. Lim says:

He is the real opportunist. The one who sizes opportunity withouregards for principles.

  46. Who Done It says:

Can anyone recall mahathir said he could not recall any of his own doing in Lingam’s case ? But he can recall vividly what Zaid Ibrahim’s role in Tun Salleh’s case ?

Now that he said every Umno man is yes man and the 30% nomination quota should be abolished. Again I think he could not recall who actually invented this evil ?

As far as lie is concerned, one equation should define this man, mahathir > satan. Just in case, no one understand. > means greater than.

  47. Lim says:

    The corruption of Mahathir

    SOROS REPLY TO MAHATHIR
    adapted from Bangkok Post

I have always said Dr Mahathir is a menace to his own people. Now
only you can see the effects of his foolishness when the ringgit has
halved its value overnight and your economy goes kaput. Single
handedly you have caused hardship to millions of your own people. You
have built useless mega projects at tremendous cost to the country.
The telecoms tower in Kuala Lumpur and the highest building in the
world show how stupid you are. Not only does it cause massive traffic
jam, it has totally no purpose. If you need high ground for telecoms
antennae a nearby mountain is there for free. This tower has no
purpose from the ground up to 300 metres. The satelites make this
    totally unneccesary.

A fool and his money are soon parted. The only thing is you are the
fool and the money belongs to Malaysians. You make 20% in evey
project, you have real estate in Japan and billions of shares
corruptly acquired. Your 3 sons are worth 8 billion US$. Where do
they get this money? Of course, corruption. You are known as the
Marcos of Malaysia, having enriched yourself to the tune of billions.
You dare to shed crocodile tears during UMNO delegates meeting about
the ills of corruption. Yet you are the most corrupt of all the prime
ministers before you. A thief is crying thief and hopes people look
the other way. Who dares to say anything when the chief is caught
with his hands in the candy jar?

You said wisdom is not the monopoly of the West. So is foolishness.
You have more foolishness than most people would believe. Billions
are used to build two high rise Petronas buildings that benefit
nobody. It now stand tall, a symbol of stupidity and irresponsibility
Instead they just add on to traffic jam. What is this reclamation of
10 islands off Kedah? Totally absurb and stupid. Of course your
benefit is 20%. And the bridge across from Malacca to Sumatra across
international waters? Why not build a bridge to the moon? I am sure
you still can get your 20%.

You called me a Moron. How can a Moron make so much money. By
allowing short selling and borrowing millions of shares from your
banks we fund managers made millions out of your inexperience and poor
regulations. You lose all Malaysians money, therefore you are the
Moron. Now you know too late and start crying over split milk. In
Australia you are known as the recalcitrant ego maniac; in UK the
corrupt bastard because of your stupid purchase of our movie studio
and the 290 million ringgit Lotus racing car plant and the shady
Pergau dam loans from the UK. They are useless to us and you still
want to buy them. What about buying British reject submarines through
your agent, of course. The agent/ broker is designed to make millions
out of Malaysian government. Your purchase of our battleships is at
least 50% more than others are paying. Your purchase of 9 hospitals
from UK lock, stock and barrel does not support your local architects
or your industry and the British send you obsolete medical equipment.
The design is atrocious, one end to the other is half a kilometer and
there is no CT-scan, an absolute necessity. In the Uk your face
appears in no less than 17 newspapers as a corrupt dictator. In
Malaysia you are known as the (IBM) International Big Mouth. In Japan
they call him the ‘smallest one’ (brain size). In Pacific island the
Santa Claus (giving advice left and right). In south America they call
him the parrot (he talks a lot but does not know what it is about). In
    Manila the living Marcos.

In Malaysia they are spending millions to lure tourists and you talk
rubbish scaring every foreigner away. “When he is dumb he is doubted
a fool, when he opens his mouth it removes all doubt.”

While I agree the West does not have the monopoly to wisdom, your
actions are not the wisest either. Your EAEC has totally no support
even in Asean. Your South-South dialogue mets with the same fate and
what is this I hear of the Bridge from Malaysia to Indonesia covering
20 miles across International shipping lanes? How crazy can one get?
Even the Japanese don’t have the money. This world’s stupidity seems
to be concerntrated in one man’s mind – yours.

The multimedia super corridor – MSC -. Well in USA its most stupid
concept because we Americans, would have thought of it light years
before. Even if it makes money, we can copy this concept can’t we?
Why do you want to spend your hard-earned money doing questionable
projects? It will be like the Bakun project. Abandoned fund wasted
and another white elephant. I always say politicians should not be
involved in business. Your ministers are also businessmen and almost
every official is enriching himself. Look at Rafidah Aziz, selling
thousands of Approved Permit for cars each worth 20-30 thousand
Malaysian dollars. Why not your government sell them and make the
money? She has acquired millions of shares meant for bumis for free
before she agrees to list them. Look at your Selangor Chief Minister
collecting millions for approving high rise buildings from
businessman. He is worth a few billions. Unfortunately he was caught
with a few millions pocket money in Australia.Every Chief minister is
awarding useless projects to his cronies then collecting secret pay
offs on the side. The Land development Boards and the Economic
Development Boards are used to bailout any loses suffered by
politicians. The profits they keep, the loses they force the Government
bodies to absorb. How can your poor ever close the gap when every good
deal is snatched by your politicians? How can your country get out of
poverty if all the billions of corruption money is taken out of the
    country?

Look at the Sarawak Chief Minister selling billions worth of timber
concessions under the table; selling every piece of state land to
businessman without tender; using his own companies to obtain
lucrative government contracts; selling approval signatures for a fee
‘you pay I approve’. He has 8 billion US stashes overseas. Thousands
of acres of land are given to one or two companies while thousands of
poor people still live in cardboard makeshift homes; have no water and
shit into the river. Thousands of acres of land are sold to companies
for plantations while the native don’t have even one acre to their
name. He is selling sand near the beaches to one company for earth
filling and then ask the government to spend millions to protect the
coastline when erosion occurs. He lost 300 millions of the sarawak
government money trying to make computer chips. He has built a port in
Northern sarawak town in water so shallow it needs dredging every year.

The Prime Minister built highways without tender, your cronies get the
deal and the price double. Your Langkawi airport runway is built is
double the cost by your own company Ekran.

The Malaysian nation has lost at least 30 billions during your last
10 years of corrupt rule. One billions lost from the purchase of
phantom skyhawk war planes nobody has ever seen (are they still in the
Nevada desert USA?). 3 billion lost from the London tin scandal (you
thought you could corner the London tin market without knowing the
Americans have a stockpile! Stupidity at its best. 6 billion Perwaja
steel mill where nobody even know where the money goes, 3 billion bank
Bumiputra scandal where George Tan bribed all the bank officials to
lend him the money. 6 billion forex lost by Bank Negara (the fool and
his money are soon parted) and 6 billion to build three of the worlds
tallest buildings (built by Japanese and Koreans and furniture
imported from France – not Malaysia) and 1 billion lost from purchase
of British warship including fees paid to the broker and under the
table. Add the 10 billion you stole and 5 billion taken by Ministers.

In the 1997 the World Journalists meeting voted Dr Mahathir the Prime
Minister of the Decade. It sounded strange to everybody until it was
revealed those who voted against are threatened by IRD officers and
with losing their jobs. In New York the United Nations 1997 meeting,
the most corrupt Prime Minister of the decade is President Suharto and
second Dr Mahathir (Actually Dr Mahathir should take first place but
bribed the Indonesian to take honour of Number One.

There are Fifty thousand of your university students are not given
places in Malaysia but are good enough for places overseas resulting
in billion of dollars lost. The British and the Australians are
thinking how stupid.Your best students are sent overseas raising their
standards while as in most countries the best are kept in local
universities and the rejects sent overseas. A university student in
Hong Kong is much more prestigeous than any Australian counterpart.
You have been colonised by the British so long you cannot even educate
your own people. Look at Hong Kong or Singapore less than 5% study
overseas. All the money saved. Your country could save billions if
every student overseas is recalled to a local university, and at the
same time raising your own standards.

Your people are still without shoes, without land to farm, without
homes, bathing in rivers shitting in hole in the ground, without water
and electricity. Your cities are concrete jungles without greenery
and open spaces. Your KL is jammed with traffic. Yet you still keep
on building high rises. You should come down from the clouds and stop
daydreaming and firmly plant your feet in the ground. Your schools
are cramped 500 students to an acre and thousands of acres are given
free to some politician who leaves them idle. Your parks are being
taken by politicians to build shophouses and every cabinet minister is
a landgrabbing businessman who build roads only to their cronies’ land.

    The Malaysians’ prayer

“Ya Allah, we thank you for your gifts of timber, oil and grain.
But then the devil sent us corrupt Mahathir without a Brain
And look we are back to square one again
So just take Dr Mahathir back to Hell
And we will be alive and well.”

In China people have been shot for embezzling one thousand dollars.
With 8 billions you have stolen therefore you would be shot 80
    thousand times.

Now you are leading an anti-corruption campaign. We all know what you
should do. Look yourself in the mirror. You see the crook there?
Then use your left hand and handcuff your right hand.

You have put the opposition leader and his son in jail when they said
in parliament you are the richest PM in the world. And his colleague
Mr Karpal Singh too for 2 years. So I get a reward or bribe if I now
say you are the poorest PM in this world?

Your 3 sons are sitting in the board of directors of more than 200
companies. They must have been educated in Harvard school of business
and obtained distintions? Or is it “you don’t know me you don’t do
business in Malaysia” law that applies. Billions of ringgit of
Employee’s Provident Funds and public Petonas funds are used to bail
out your sons who make losses investing in every venture you thought
you could make money. How unethical and corrupt.

Every one of your politicians are sitting on the boards of tens of
companies making thousands without any effort, lending their VIP names
to borrow millions from local banks without collateral. Now these have
become non performing loans. Now you want 20 millions Malaysian to
sacrifice for the folly of ONE man? Why not the fool resign and admit
he wasted and took most of the money. I could teach you how to put
your economy on tract but first you must apologize to the Jews and the
    Malaysian people as well.

    ‘SOROS’

Hello Dey! Since you are also a human being, there are 2 options for you:

!) Return all the loots you, all your family members and cronies plundered from the nation for the last 22 years and say real sorry to all the Malaysians from all your hearts or

    2) climb up to an active volcano and jumping into it.

Well this man with the 2Ms wanted a strong opposition and now we have a strong opposition!
I hope he will wish next for a change of government and maybe we might get one in the next election or maybe SOONER!!! But all this is left in the hands of God not Tun2M!

  51. billauchris says:

Why should we blame Dr M for the dismal performance of BN in the 12th General Election? He had stepped down and retired as the PM of Malaysia. But, he is keeping a close watch on his successor to ensure that he walks the line – straight and righteous as he professes to be as a religious man.

Pak Lah had the overwhelming support of the whole nation as shown in the results of the 11th General Election. He had the mandate and the free hand to choose his cabinet ministers which comprised mostly Dr M’s disciples. He had four years to put things right; but he disappointed instead the people of Malaysia at every turn.

I remember at a certain world seminar, he spoke and announced to the whole world that he was not only the prime minister for the malays but also the prime minister for all the peoples of Malaysia. He disappointed and certainly antagonised most followers of other religions in the country. He does not appear to be one who is fair and sound in his decisions. By his continued action, he will lead the country to greater chaos. We do not need more words. We need affirmative actions. The religous situation in my view is becoming more intolerable at the hands of the half-baked scholars behind him. Certain Arablic terms and phrases are now proscribed very unfortunately for use by non-muslims without realising that they were derived from the Hebrew language!

The country needs an inter-religous mechanism to deal with the multi-religious problems but he is not prepared nor morally courageious enough to set up one against the advice of the MCCBCHST. The civil courts caused more confusions and resentments among the people with their conflicting decisions. Article 11 movement was quelled and all forms of peaceful public protests are now prohibited. Viva la Democratic Malaysia !

BN arrogance caused the poor performance and not Dr M.
The Judiciary’s integrity is in question; NEP is outmoded – its lopsided implementation had caused more frustration and a sense of marginalisation and alienation among the non-bumiputras; the thousands of non-bumiputras who could not obtain scholarships and courses of their choices during the past years; prevalent corruption; ineffective police force; rising crimes; cost of living is hiking by the day; lacking transparency and accountability of governmental decisions; the overly bumiputra dominated civil service, military and police forces; most elected representatives cared more to line their pockets as reported in the news media etc. These are but some factors contributing to the poor electoral performance of BN

So the message is clear. Majority of the people are sick and tired of BN political rhetorics.

The recent rejection of the two BN’s MB candidates for Perlis and Terengganu by the respective sultans spoke volumes of what went on behind the scene. The public thus far have been kept from really knowing what went wrong because the media mouths have been gagged. Speculations are all over the air; I just hope that the authority could provide the long awaited answers to the general public.

Now Sabah is unhappy over the new cabinet. Datuk Sharizat should not have been there nor Mohd Taib. These two positions could have been given to the Sabahans. But, self-interest took priority instead. Well, you have now a big problem at hand to overcome.

Zam, do not therefore blame Dr M. Blame Pak Lah and his cabinet for the poor election results. The public needs an honest, just and transparent Government and not one that is tainted with selfishness, arrogance and graft.

Zam do carry back this message or advice. If they are not careful, they might even lose Negri Sembilan, Malacca in the next Election.

wonder how Mahatir take it if Anwar really become the PM. haahahahaaha

  53. Bade says:

Why blame the retired “special one”? Too much sour grapes for losing? Zainuddin Maidin has no right to blame Dr M for the facist party known as BN’s, losses. Instead blame himself for overly exagerated TV ads depicting the “evil” Anwar and his opposition team. before saying others are evil, prove yourself a saint…

  54. unilight says:

  55. minister of doesn't care a damn says:

Mahathir had uprooted the tree of democracy in Malaysia and had nurtured seeds of corruption/ racism/ religious extremism. Now the branches of his evils have reached every corner in Malaysia- vertically and laterally.

Now the people of Malaysia must uproot these evil /branches/ devils planted in Malaysia. If the BA doesn’t follow the voice of the Malaysian people in uprooting Mahathir’s evil branches in their respective controlled states, the BA will be booted out by the Malaysian people come next GE.

Mahathir’s attempt in restoring/ sustaining his evil of branches in the nation must be circumvented.

Yes, it was Mahathir who suppressed this for over 2 decades and set back progress and clamped down the country into a stasis for a quarter century. Now we are now a quarter of a century behind in intellectual freedom.

  57. Ahmad Navi Abdullah says:

Blaming Tun by Zam is surprising as it was Tun who brought him (Zam) into the cabinet. At that time Zam was one of Tun’s strongest defenders. However there is truth in what he says, Tun’s accusations having played a part in BN’s exit in many states.

On the other hand Tun is not blameless of wrongdoing during his time. He was responsible directly or indirectly for the judicial crises, the abuse of the ISA, OSA and the Universities Act, abd Operations Lalang, the muzzling of the media, cronyism and nepotism of the highest order, his children being bailed out with Petronas money, creating the wang ehsan in Terangganu (when rightfully, the money should have gone to the State Government).

A lot of these are being denied by him, as he had used his henchman to do the dirty work.

Come on Tun, didn’t you realize the rakyat gave the mandate to PakLah, on your retirement, as they hated you not because they loved Pak Lah more.
