1,024 people out of 27 million Malaysians said they are happy with prime minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi’s government. (Malaysiakini)

Picture from mamakk!!!

The survey, conducted by the Merdeka Center for the New Straits Times, found “a stable and positive voter support for Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and the Barisan Nasional government”.

Hahahahahahaha! Is it April Fool’s yet? Maybe there is such a thing as November Fool!

Even a schoolboy can tell you that figure is not representative of the real picture. But is anything representative or even a reflection of the truth since Abdullah became PM?

Or, could this be the only number of people Merdeka Centre could find to interview about Abdullah? If so, it’s quite embarassing to release such a figure publicly. Even more embarassing to be asked about it, and to respond to it as if it were a message from God.

The survey prompted Abdullah to reply ever so proudly that “I’ll continue with my style“. (see picture above).

What a wonderful birthday present for you, Abdullah, although all you wanted at 68, was to be “happy and healthy”.

He said:

If that is what the survey shows, then I am happy. We will continue to administer the country like we are doing now. If someone wants to criticise, then it is fine as long as it is constructive criticism and we will try to do whatever possible to overcome the problems we face. The important thing is that we will do everything possible to ensure success of the national vision to uplift all Malaysians. To those who supported the current government, I wish to say thank you. To those who criticise, I would also say thank you but please ensure the criticisms are fair and not overboard, do not make your own conclusions without knowing the truth,” he said.

I wish to say “THANK YOU”, to you too, for all the humour your government controlled media makes every day, for making me laugh every single day of my life when I hear the word ‘Malaysia”. For bending over and falling off the chair with tears in my eyes coz the laughing hurt so much. Can I help myself when your ministers are a laughing stock and your government, a national joke, in the eyes of the world?

Wonder what moved them to?! Hahahahaha! Merdeka Survey, don’t you feel something weird?

thank you… out of 27m only 1024 people say they are happy… perhaps, the rest said that they are not happy…

how big is the number compared to bersih 50k or 138k (reported by police to rpk)?… these 50k told us that they are not happy…

i think that the survey wanted to make pm happy and he can continue to sleep…. and attend more overseas trip…

    what a shame…

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi on Tuesday wrote a letter to Prime Minister Manomhan Singh, expressing deep concern at the treatment meted out to ethnic Indians in Malaysia.

In the letter, Karunanidhi said that the people of Tamil Nadu are disturbed over the happenings in Kuala Lumpur, and pointed out that Tamils constitute the largest percentage among the Indian minority in Malaysia.

“I dunno,” and that’s the end of that (thank you for such an elegant example for accountability) :

‘The government has no information on the involvement of a Malaysian trading company linked to Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi’s in-laws, which is allegedly the biggest bribe-giver to the illicit oil-for-food deal involving deposed Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein.”

Not forgetting his son’s, “I dunno” too:

“US and British intelligence services had told Malaysia that centrifuge parts manufactured by a local company, Scomi Precision Engineering (SCOPE), had been found on a ship bound for Libya last October.

    Prime Minister Badawi: Son was
    cleared of ‘knowing involvement’

The Malaysian company admitted making the parts – which were ordered by Tahir – but said it believed they were for use in the oil and gas industries and did not know their final destination.

The company is owned by Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi’s son Kamaluddin. But Malaysia has strenuously denied that either the company or the country was knowingly involved in the nuclear arms black market. ”

So only 0.0000379% of the population happy with Pak Lah…?

  21. kittykat46 says:

Yes, KVN , the regime focuses far more attention on perceived political critics than fighting crime. Polis Raja DiMalaysia has over 7,000 Special Branch personnel, even as they daily plead lack of manpower for crime prevention measures.

I haven’t got a clue what these 7,000 secret police are supposed to be doing. The are no more communists hiding behind the bushes or under the bed , the original reason for the Special Branch’s existence.

    Hindraf leader Ganapathi arrested

    Nov 29, 07 10:17am Malaysiakini

A key leader of the Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf) was arrested early this morning, sparking fears of another police round-up of leaders of the movement.

Lawyer VS Ganapathi Rao was arrested at his house in Shah Alam, Selangor, at about 7.15am by a police team from Seremban.

Another Hindraf leader M Manoharan told Malaysiakini that Ganapathi was immediately taken to Seremban and is expected to be charged with sedition.

“I believe he was arrested over a forum which Hindraf held in Seremban two weeks ago. Five of us, including myself, spoke on the plight of the Indian community,” he added.

Govt To Demand Compensation From Hindraf
SUNGAI PETANI Nov 29 (Bernama) — The government will demand compensation for damage to public property from leaders of the Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf) and those involved in its illegal demonstrations in the city and Batu Caves on Sunday. Deputy Internal Security Minister Datuk Mohd Johari Baharom said the ministry and police were estimating the damage to public property and other losses caused by the demonstrators. “The amount of losses will be conveyed to the Hindraf leaders and others involved,” he told reporters after closing a workshop on the “Role of Civil Societies in Tackling the Drug Menace” for the North Zone organised by the National Anti-Drug Agency here today.

“They also have to pay for the cost of equipment that the police had to use to quell Sunday’s illegal demonstrations. The government will not allow them to escape paying.” Asked on further action by the government against Hindraf and others involved in the demonstrations, he said other than the legal channels, the government could also use the Internal Security Act (ISA).

News Alert – Dora is Safe and Released!
Good morning folks! Got an sms this morning from Dora’s colleague informing me that she was released and is now in the hospital. She is safe.

Thanks for your good work. News of her kidnapping swarm the entire Klang Valley within hours. We need to set up a nation wide crime alert system still.

More than 109% people support the PM. So this result is not a surprise. How can it be so much? I hear you ask. Simple. Some people are more equal than others. For example Samy Velu is not as equal as Nazr.”Correct, correct, correct” I hear you say.

  29. Syed... says:

“Even a schoolboy can tell you that figure is not representative of the real picture.”

Not all gov’t supporters are more expressive like you guys who tend to use the blogs and the net to express ur hate in every decision make by gov’t…U just hate them period no matter how sincere the gov’t efforts are…
Do you really thnk the pro-gov’t individuals (like those high profile chinese/indian billionaires) get online and express their pro-govt opinion on the net? By large, these pro-gov’t ppl, they are very laid back indeed. When it comes to polls, they obviously vote for the gov’t and suddenly everyone finds out the results are biased to the gov’t and you ppl couldn’t absorb the fact and confidently claim “Yeah, the poll system is corrupt of course” …And that is what has been occuring all this time…You see the trend?

So you can never be sure wether the survey by Merdeka Center is totally wrong for that matter…It’s just you assuming otherwise that it appears to you the poll system is corrupted…

he is definitely out of his mind cz those survey made doesnt really show anything as Malaysian is nt AmerICAN with freedom of speech..when u said u not happy with the PM and criticize him ISA will come to u…this survey is just a stupid gimic..or maybe they didnt even do a survey but just simply make a statement bout the survey….our pm is such a loser cz still want to enjoy being in PM seat without bother to step down…

  31. takAPALAHLAHLAHLAH says:

only villagers will support PM as they feel that kampung is so peaceful and city is so dangerous..why is it dangerous? cz government didnt take any measurement in decreasing the crime rate..kampung people afraid to improve and only listen to PM LAH..this definitely develop stereotype among villagers that city is dangerous with high crime rate as PM will always said TAK APA LAH TAK APA LAH…
