Great pictures on the yellow rally from Elizabeth Wong’s blog.

It’s 6.30pm in Bangkok. Been trying to access Malaysiakini but failed. Reporter Andrew Wong with whom I chatted with online simply to me to “keep trying”. Maybe its a good thing. I’ll have a good Sunday. At this point of time, I am rather proud of a fraction of my fellow Malaysians.

Well, I’m hoping that my commentators who went will share their stories with me.

Anyway, here’s something to cheer you up 🙂

Yes arrived at Sogo front door..mingle with the hundreds of people there at 1pm……all over FRU and helicopters flying above non stop.
Kept in touch with Black and Sheih. through sms….but could not meet them. My crowd was mostly from Kelantan..Trengganu and Kedah….damn nice down to earth folks…young and old…came by the thousands..just for the rally.
When the walk started…it was pouring cats and dogs…like GOD is crying happily for us. it was very tiring for me to walk uphill towards Istana Negara…but told myself to keep up with the crowd. It was raining non stop.. but no one gave up!!
Hundreds of FRU…but I must say…they did not do anything to anyone of us…except telling us to keep away from certain places. Kenny is unlucky to experience tear gas!
Reached Masjid Negara…. I rested at foot way and the guys were walking away…shouting “Daulat Tuanku”.
At Kampong Attap road….I saw another huge crowd….all focusing to walk to Istana Negara.
    Wonderful feeling…wonderful experience….came home..bathe and slept instantly….until now.

Thank you, Susan. I had tears in my eyes, twice today. One when I saw the yellow crowd and now when I viewed your dedication. I have regained my hope that my children can actually be a free Malaysian someday and will not be judged by colour or language. Bravo and kudos. Indeed, I will have a bloody good Sundays from today onward. Happy good Sunday everybody.

40,000 of us stood for hour..walked few kilometers against non stop pouring rain…never gave up…… …yet S.Times have no news about this historical event?
We shouted “Long live the King” and “We want clean elections”.
Are these words from any opposition party or from the Malaysians?
Any fool will know..the rally if non political…and if 40,000 of us walking….with equal amount being frustrated with road give up…does UMNO seriously think we can be ignored?
Lets see what will the so call “People’s PM” have to say.
Best he can say is that we are 40,000 idiots and he is the smartest of the lot.
All of us behaved like Malaysians…no race…no religion….no two ways bout heart objective…we love the country more than ourselves.

The score now is 3-0… someone is clueless.

    Will this info helps?

Originally a genuine report of a life-threatening fault. Now used humorously to report any kind of problem.

John Swigert, Jr. and James Lovell who, with Fred Haise Jr., made up the crew of the US’s Apollo 13 moon flight used (almost) this phrase to report a major technical problem back to their Houston base.

Swigert: ‘Okay, Houston, we’ve had a problem here.’
Duke: ‘This is Houston. Say again please.’
Lovell: ‘Houston, we’ve had a problem. We’ve had a main B bus undervolt.’

A main B bus undervolt joke of the week.

  12. monsterball says:

hi Harrison..Those words were from the movie..’Apollo 12″ la.

  13. jeancumlately says:

Thanx V9. Thanks Monty… but the clueless part is not on the origin of the phrase. I think I know that part. (V9, I thot I could alwiz count on you to decipher my code!)

I was clueless on the scoreline. Someone was playing with a 6-inch water pistol all week. It is slightly longer then my middle finger and I am wondering if it serves the same purpose.

Again, thank you for being my “houstons.” Let’s leave it at that.

    BTW sue, I miss altantuya…

  14. whispering9 says:

Hehehe…I knew your meaning Jean. I just didn’t have the heart to decipher it loud and clear. Did the water from the canon get you?

  15. Harrison Bin Hansome says:

    Hi Monty,

Thanks for your effort. I get the INNUENDOS all the way. But not being there does not mean someone is not with yous. Beiing reason that I have not responded any e-mail. I sincerely apologized for that.

  16. monsterball says:

    Harrison…Hope you are okay now.
Don’t pick on jeancumlately. You are asking for trouble….if you do.
Trying to be too smart and cute to her…you think you are enjoying some fun…pulling her legs?….she will wallop you left and right!!
    Be nice to her.
This is one hell of a gal….no one dare to mess around.
The only one she possible allows to …is stenson…not me..not you..not anyone.

  17. jeancumlately says:

The water canon did not get me coz I was safely protected. You dont expect me to go there by myself, do you?

However, the rain was merciless and I made the wrong choice of the type of shirt to wear. Apparently, certain materials are not suitable for this kind of event because when it rains or when the water canon is aimed at you , you’ll suddenly turn into a contestant in a wet t-shirt contest. I hope they put this advise next time.

And yes, I abandoned my walk to Istana. Initially, I felt bad about it but not anymore when I looked at the news that night. Tuanku was not even there but in some kind of horse event in Terengganu. Kinda sad. I guess its not so easy to be a rakyat trying to reach someone who might even care… just might.

  18. Harrison Bin Hansome says:

I am just teasing someone with a peculiar nick and she over-reacted surly. I m gonna hound her mercilessly until she say sorry to me without using ambiguity. Let’s see snakeston, (who the hell is snakeston btw?) will join the act…..

  19. monsterball says:

No Harrison…you have been somewhat vulgar describing her ..from her nick.
“jeanny come lately” is a very nice song….do you know that?
But I am sure…once you treat her well…and say sorry to her…instead of you demanding an apology from her…boy…you will find her a lot of fun to talk to.
She is broad minded…but can be sensitive…arn’t we all.
Remember….she is a lady….so say sorry…even if you think you are right.
    And enjoy her friendship.
    Be a gentleman la.
