HAHAHAHAHA!

Khairy: Najib has my undivided support (Steven Gan, Malaysiakini)

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA !

I think I am going to puke now. Such a waste of time to report this bullshit.

Why does the media distract us from bigger issues like Perak, Teoh Beng Hock, Altantuya …. and the list goes on…

Teoh Beng Hock – most likely sodomised & murdered!

That’s 80% likelihood.

GREAT! It had to take a Thai, a well known expert, to tell us that Teoh Beng Hock may have been sodomised and murdered.

Wasn’t it clear from the beginning that it couldn’t have been suicide?

Therefore, Dr Pornthip, the Pathologist’s discovery isn’t shocking but expected.

What does that say about our own forensic experts? Who do we believe?

Now that Pornthip, aka Dr Death, has come up with this revelation, what happens?

The disastrous ASEAN Peoples Forum in Cha’am

It was a disastrous 3 day meeting in Cha’am, Thailand, where civil society representatives anticipated several sessions of heated  ‘dialogues’ with ASEAN officials/their government representatives from 18-20October 2009.

As it turned out, it was a monologue – where NGOs had to ‘dialogue’ with themselves since the ASEAN government officials met by themselves not far away from the NGOs, in Dusit Thani Hotel, for their annual Summit.

For many observers, this is like a tight slap on their faces, since the NGOs had high hopes that ASEAN/or rather their governments would be more receptive. Didn’t they just approve the ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights – whatever that means now – which will be launched on October 23rd!

For many of us, the AICHR  is a sham, a public relations exercise for these violators of human rights – from Burma to Indonesia, Malaysia, and all in between.

It will not be independent, not transparent, and I expect, not effective! How can it be, when all it wants to do is “promote” human rights and not ‘protect’.

But ASEAN or rather the governments managed to pull wool over the NGOs eyes recently by picking one or two of them to be Commissioners (as in the case of Indonesia and Thailand).

Words of congratulations to the appointed representatives are making their rounds in emails, but don’t they ask themselves this: why do you want to join an entity you have been condemning day in and day out as a toothless tiger?

My little email message to a would be commissioner “are you going to keep your teeth or go toothless, too” remains unanswered.

The NGOs are elated with the recent overture by ASEAN, thinking that finally their voices will be heard. Imagine their disappointment when no one on that side turned up for the much awaited ‘dialogues’.

About 300 participants from NGOs working in diverse issues such as women, workers, fisherfolks, Burma, Southern Thailand, human rights, waited with bated breath.

We ended up enjoying the scenic Holiday Inn in Cha’am, and dancing to the tunes of different cultures during the Solidarity Night.

Earlier, since last year, the NGOs have also been trying to match the hundreds of meetings where they could ”stalk” these ASEAN officials – at times succeeding in making their issues heard for about 5-15 minutes.

They forget that in that endevour they are leaving of course, millions of carbon footprints on the planet – the very thing they shout against.

apf exhibition

But ah, never mind. It’s the American and European funders who should care about these things. They are the ones happily paying for all these regional ‘sandiwaras’ – for want of better words – to be a part of the ASEAN regional process, very much like they were during the colonial days :-)

Well, if all these are not enough, the governments have become even nastier by imposing who they want as representatives to their meetings. Isn’t it their meetings after all?

Why are the NGOs raving and ranting that they (ASEAN officials) have “interfered” in the selection process of the NGO representatives to this meeting?

The NGOs are not giving up and have shamelessly sent a list of ten representatives representing the ten countries. They have also come up with a 10-paged statement to present to the officials, whether they get to meet them or not.

What would be the outcome of all these? We hope it will not be like the  poster above – blurred by the pouring rain.

Najib’s 200 days – pass or fail?

Statement released by SUARAM today:

On 3 April 2009, Najib Razak succeeded Abdullah Badawi as the Malaysian Prime Minister amidst several controversies and allegations, most seriously, his alleged links to the murder of Mongolian national Altantuya Shaaribuu and his past records with regards to human rights. On 31 March 2009, even before Najib officially took over as Prime Minister, serious curbs on fundamental freedoms were already imposed when the Home Ministry barred political parties from bringing up the murder of Altantuya, which Najib has alleged links to, in their campaign in the run-up to three by-elections in April 2009 – in Bukit Gantang (Perak), Bukit Selambau (Kedah) and Batang Ai (Sarawak).

Coincidently, Najib’s first 200 days as Prime Minister also coincides with Altantuya’s 3rd murder anniversary on 19 October 2006. Until today, the controversy surrounding her death by individuals closely linked to Najib, including the unanswered and unresolved questions regarding why she was murdered by explosives only available from the Defence Ministry when Najib was Defence Minister, and shady deals related to the purchase of a costly submarine, continue to elude us.

As such, when former Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi announced that he would retire and be replaced by Najib Razak, SUARAM noted:

“The imminent change in the country’s top political leadership in March 2009 is expected to bring about attempts by the ruling party to consolidate its power after its massive loss of popular support and the strong challenge posed by the opposition in 2008. Previous experiences have shown that such attempts to consolidate power often result in heightened persecutions and prosecutions of dissidents and critics of the government, and the general deterioration of human rights and fundamental freedoms in the country.”

Be aware of your inner light this Diwali…

diwali3

“May this inner light brighten your soul
And clarify your path
That you may recognize what is just
And reject what is most vile.
May you and your loved ones be blessed with peace and happiness
This DIWALI”.

Allow me to share this lovely poem from Katrina Jorene Maliamauv:

“The oil in the lamp
In the light it glimmers
By the steady dancing
Of the flame that flickers;
Good triumphs over evil
And darkness bows out
In glorious defeat.

The flame of our soul
Is sometimes questioned
And unsteady
By challenges in our path
And obstacles in our way
But the new dawn is ready
Waiting to be embraced
As we celebrate the festival
Of life”.

UMNO or MCA: 2×5 (mega puke)

Mega_Puke_gallery

2×5, in Malay (dua kali lima) means ‘same same’; no difference lah.

MCA is plagued by poor leadership, corruption and sex scandal.

UMNO, er…sama saje what, same as the above, isn’t it? Now both parties are wasting our time with their so called Meeting/EGM. Taking up unnecessary space in all the online papers.

Ong Tee Keat is calling for an EGM while Khairy Jamaluddin is talking like Anwar Ibrahim, as in:Malays and UMNO hv been caught in a mindset that is negative & overly defensive. Feel as though constantly under siege.

Hello, don’t we have better things to do? More earthquakes are coming our way and Islands are going to be wiped out soon, and these two irrelevant parties and their clowns are boring us to death.

If you are not yet bored, I am! So, spoilt kids, grow up!

Have you signed this petition?

Hey everyone, go sign this petition lah @ SUPPORT THE STUDENTS FACING CHARGES.

I am petitioner 2338.

Please support these UM students who are being punished for nothing!

Why should anyone be persecuted for this, I can’t figure, except that BN/UMNO got jealous that they were not invited to be judges?

Who does the UM VC answer to? Now is the time to proof that UM has not been co-opted by “the powers”.

Sorry, but no matter how this case is twisted, I can’t find any other reason other than the one I meantioned above, naive as I am.

How can UMNO say it is for all, when they merajuk and get jealous so easily? Hey, brother, relek lah.

Wanita UMNO, Dotty, Desperado…

This song is dedicated to 1Malaysia Clown and Desperado Dotty.

Looks like 1Malaysia, Dotty and WANITA UMNO are desperate liao. This latest stunt – SAYANG PROJECT - by these desperate women is a case in point.

Which makes me wonder: why no one love them already izzit? Kesian. Continue reading

Nothing to say about Bagan Pinang

frog

…and why do I have nothing to say about Bagan Pinang? The by-election passed by me as if it was just a shadow play.

Because voters do deserve the candidates/governments they get. They have to live with these chosen ones. What baffles me is why they do not think of the implications of their decisions on others, like their children and grandchildren for example?

And if more people had chosen a tainted person to be their representative, than those who had chosen one who might anytime turn a religious bigotby virtue of his party PAS, what are we to say?

So how to catch criminals?

It seems the police can’t spot Raja Petra Kamaruddin. (Malaysian Insider)

They can’t even tell if he is in or has left the country.

So Immigration Department also cannot pakai?

Hiya. But I am glad for once that our institutions are weak and ineffective.

Yet, I worry. If the police can’t find a non-criminal, how are they going catch the real ones?

I guess in 1Malaysia, everything is blur one.
