This MALAYSIAN group Estrella is quite amazing. I love their song ‘Stay’ – really sweet and mushy of course but so what. Am in the mood for LOVE, great LOVE.
I LOVE HUMAN RIGHTS!
Ps. Thanks to Jennifer Mourin for introducing this clip to me

Malaysians has got talents ! But very sad to say that there is very little support from the govt and the people in the area of Local Arts & Entetainment.I believe more can be done to help talented Malaysians to pursue their dreams in this area.

Want support from the government? Very easy. Wait & see if there is a by-election in your constituency, haha.

Band members need to be less than 5 or else they might be charged with ‘illegal assembly’ LOL!
Seriously, Malaysians do have the talent but the way the government and some leaders have portrayed these bands as “anti culture” have turned many talents away….

Truth of the matter is: the feudal mindset exemplified by Umno “leadership” derives from an unconscious attempt to emulate &/or supplant the traditional monarchies, grandiose memories of which linger from the (gory) glory days of empires like Majapahit, Srivaya, Chin & Khmer (& more recently Siam). So when some guy born & raised in the rice paddies gets educated at the Malay College Kuala Kangsar, joins Umno & eventually become a Cabinet Minister, he tends to think he’s something akin to a little emperor. Wants to see his own face in the news every day, loves the sound of his own voice (never mind how stupid his statements appear to others) & generally assumes he has a natural birthright to hog the limelight.
Knowing full well they don’t stand a chance when truly charismatic & talented artists like Amy, M. Nasir, Sahara Yaacob, Jamal Abdillah & so on burst on the scene, these Umno-brand ministers invariably become insecure & use their political clout to beat these potential threats to their popularity down, instead of applauding, encouraging & promoting them worldwide as cultural ambassadsors. Yes, I agree, Malaysia is EXPLODING with talent & energy. But it will go nowhere except TV3… until Umno/BN-style feudalism is phased out once & for all.

When you have great love to give to human beings…to protect their dignities…you are moulding yourself…to be a faithful Mother Teresa servant.

A good, melodic song and polished performance by an obviously talented group of young musical Malaysians.
I enjoyed the experience of watching and listening to them, so thank you for posting it here.

Hi Susan
Sorry my earlier message got garbled. But you can still click on the link to read the article on the Mugabe kleptocracy. (Reminds me of the earlier Mobutu Sese Seko
kleptocracy of the former Republic of Zaire where Mobutu’s wife would commandeer one of the handful of airplanes of the national airline for her shopping sprees in Europe)

Dont’t tell me that you’re in Kamunting now?
