Woman allegedly assaulted and threatened by Johor Crown Prince

That is what her father says.

Thanks a lot to Rocky Bru for publishing the police report lodge by Mohd Yasin Bin Mohd Yusof, father of Yasmin, the young lady allegedly beaten up by the Johor Crown Prince – stories which this blog has published here and here,  taking the cue from mSTAR here by long time friend and chief reporter: Fathi Aris Omar.

I do not think this story would see the light of day in newspapers, other than a butchered, fully edited, distorted piece! Below I’ve translated the report by the woman’s father, a Malay version of it is in Rocky’s blog, for the benefit of non-Bahasa Malaysia readers:

I was told to lodge the police report anywhere in Johor or Johor Bahru by C/Insp Marina. After investigation at Bukit Aman on 14-3-2007, i left my wife and family in Kuala Lumpur and returned to Johor Bahru to lodge the report. On 15-3-2007, I made a call to ASP Mazlan to lodge the report but he told me that he was out of range and will contact me later. On 15-3-2007, I was still waiting and sms him regarding my report, and I went to the Police headquarters between 2.20 – 3.15 pm but he was not there and so I went straight to the Police station in Johor Bahru.

I Mohd Yasin bin Mohd Yusof, father of my daughter Yasmin binti Mohd Yasin did not receive and disappointed with the actions of the Johor Crown Prince assaulting my daughter.  According to the case reported and threats received by my daughter, which should not happen. If anything happen to me or my family, the Johor Crown Prince will be fully responsible”.

I am hoping that more laws to curb violent royalties and politicians will be enacted and less laws on bloggers and blogging. And that police officers will respond faster to reports lodged by ordinbary citizens and not stand-by waiting to arrest dissidents or haul up protesters who demo against anti-people policies

  1. It is quite common to see when real justices or needs of a high police officer to handle the very core of his/her pledge to protect the weak and victims…cases reported are never solved and for this one…even dare not take the report and will make all sorts of excuses that he/she is not available.
But when comes to defend this or that wrong doing by the police force…the head in charge will speak like a lawyer burok to defend their misgivings….because all are in the same boat….no balls to serve justice without fear nor favour. Some of them…their balls comes from license to carry arms to defend themselves…but deep inside…just simply cowards.
What can we ordinary folks say about this case? And glad SUSAN brings it out in the open…to now see whether bloggers do tell lies or truths.
The royal family? Well…to be frank…what can a poor poor helpless couple do ..wanting justice…if the government dare not put it out in the open. What are the government afraid of? I will tell you what….not because they fear the Johore Royal family….but fear loosing thousands of Johore malays voters….as quite a lot of malays by nature ……no matter how wrong they are…will not admit their mistakes and yet want you to respect by others…..they value their false reputations and want ‘muka’. Have we not seen the great teacher TDM….showing such example to the malays? So you blame Pak Lah? Not even the Prophet can change these bad attitudes at such a short time….implanted for more than 26 years and counting.
Pah Lah KNOWS THIS!! So he is equally to be blamed for not strong enough to shame the devils and hope for the best. HE IS ALSO POWER HUNGRY…not really that sincere as we voters expects him to be. When will he change and deliver?

  2. Susan :” I am hoping that more laws to curb violent royalties…”

To the credit of the TDM, he showed it was possible and almost overnight the yellow carplates and double parking in Kuala Kangsar town disappeared. Although he did it in the context of his own agenda then and perhaps for the wrong reasons, it showed he was aware of the situation then. The effect of reducing excesses persisted nicely for a while but now has dissipated.

It’s inconceivable that the present PM isn’t equally aware but he’s simply too “nice”, eh? Anwar says he’s nice. He must because it was Bad who released him from prison.

Meantime the unlucky Malay nobodies and others will be confronted with this Reality which most of them helped create. We all help create our own Reality and will wallow or thrive within it. Therefore when the System disregards the rights of individuals, this is because we allowed it to because of various untoucheable tabooed reasons. The irony and peril of being sort of herdish.

  3. Right. So now the one-sided assumption is she two-timed the prince. If she did, the prince, because he has royal blood and possible ascension to the throne of Johor has the right to beat her silly.

I also doubt this will ever make it into the MSM, firstly because we are all too concerned about hiding the nasty truth about our defunct royalty.

And secondly, the woman in question has already had a question mark to her reputation for having a married lover – the one who got his 24-hour transfer.

She won’t be important enough to make newsprint.

  4. Crankshaft….Where the heck you got all these informations? Interesting!
Oh no…don’t you tell me you are an admirer of MT…famous for writing ..not even half truths.

  5. how many here thinks it will sweep underneath the carpet in no time?

  6. When will he change and deliver? The answer is when he gets his second-hand jeans (but not denims). But then he may change for the worse, not better. So the best way is to dump him in the approaching GE

  7. The things a prince can get with money
Glamorous hostesses were allegedly paid tens of thousands of pounds from a BAE Systems slush fund to attend lavish parties where a Saudi prince and his entourage were guests of honour….

  8. MT as in Malaysia Today? Yes, I’m a fan of RPK, but I also take everything with a pinch of salt.

Which information would you be referring to, monsterball? The 24-hour transfer? I got that from 3540 Jalan Sudin. Any other questions?

  9. Many thanks crankshaft for your response. I was refering to one of MT’s post …saying RPK blog has touched 50 million hits in March.. I am wondering how that can be varified or proven true….that’s all.
So can you enlighten me further?
    Thanks.

  10. My questions are at the top current post. Can you click to it and answer at that site? Thanks

  11. I have NO idea whatsoever if RPK’s blog has reached 50 million hits. If it has, good for him. I have also no way of verifying or proving it to be true. Why don’t you check if he has a site meter?

  12. I have checked! No meter….yet he put it out at his post….therefore must be true….but how do we know?

  13. Why is it so important to you, monsterball?

  14. Crankshaft….I am a lover of TRUTHS..are you not?

  15. Cranksharft…..Plus…it keeps pounding at my head..more than approx .300,000 per day viewing one site …to register 1.5 million hits per day…..whereas….the nearest is Rocky…getting 1 million in 5 months…miles miles apart…yet at World Blog survey on Malaysia…MT was not even mentioned….how unfair.
And with 25 million populations…involving not more than 10,000 viewers per day{ I am gussing!!}…where does RPK millions viewers come from?

  16. Can someone fool around with several computers to automatic click thousand hits…..just to fool MT?
But again…with so much hits per month…his commission paid by googles will be huge!!
So the bottom line is….is there someone trying to make him rich LEGALLY that way?
If this subject is dull…..I will stop. I am just hungry for truths.

  17. People use money to get anything and people do anything for money. Money talks! Damn!

  18. So what’s new with the so-called “Johor royalty?’. If memory serves me right, Tengku Mahmud (yep, that was his real name – not Iskandar) was also alleged to have been physical. He even served jail time in the Johor palace ‘prison’. So this ‘prince’ (son or grandson of Mahmud) is merely acting in family tradition, if true.

Fact is that the British got rid of old Sultan Ali because he would not sell out the Malays after leasing Singapore. Instead they got the “Temengong” (yep, that is the correct title of this family – some sort of tax collector) to do their bidding and allowed him to call himself “Maharaja of Johore” in the style of the Indian parasites. This may have led other ‘royals’ including Trengganu sultan to look down on them.

Then he asked Queen Victoria to make him a sultan but she said she could not. But as he was a good friend of the British, she would ‘recognise’ him as sultan if he declared himself one. So history repeats itself – the current ‘His Royal Highness’ has now declared himself ‘His Majesty the King of Johor’ (but only in English – no change in Malay).

A son/grandson (I’m not sure which) joins a foreign army and is commissioned as an officer of that foreign army. He is very proud that he commands a detachment in the Republic Day parade in front of its president and the Russian President (the chief guest of honour) on January 26 2007. In any other country joining a foreign army will lead to loss of citizenship. But in Johor, Malaysia semua BOLEH!

  19. Kaki Botol….simply…..like father….like son…and like all hells go lobotherS ose…still living the traditions of dark ages life……where no one to bothers change them…until recently…not out of love for the country…but for personal revenge and we continue to expose them….until they change or forever be shameful to soceity. That’s all we can do..as more than that..depends on what type of government we are having in Malaysia.

  20. sorry sentence got mixed up. I meant…”all hells go loose,,,still living….”
    TO MAKE SENSE. THANKS

  21. Here is a stories I got from Penang friends. When the Sultan of Johore went to play golf there….selected guys are put out at the golf course. When he hit the ball to no where to be found…..a guy will throw a golf ball and shout ‘here is it Sir”….making him happy to have hit a nice shot.
Another story was he hit a ball near a big huge rock….impossible to hit it out. He demanded a bulldozer to remove the rock!! Faithfully done…so he continues his happiness.
Ofcourse the very sad story was he shot an Indian caddy dead….seems that caddy gave an answer to a question he did not like….and all matters hushed up…with a money compensation that the family cannot refuse. All happy!.

  22. You people only speak of what you hear from words that spread from person to person, we all know what happens when one person passes information to another, the story gets bigger and more exaggerated. In my opinion, every person has their bad moments and good moments. In this world, nobody is perfect, but i sure do here alot of exaggeration and stories that start from nothing and turn into a sci-fi novel. Sometimes we find it hard to believe what some may say, as it could be out of jealousy, anger or frustration. The crown prince is a very respectable, decent and loving father, not only to his children and family but to his people. He has done alot for johor, and his son has done johor proud in the army abroad and given malaysia alot of credibility to be capable of such achievements than for other countries to look down on our people.

  24. Stupid Malaysians. Still grobbling in the dirt towards their royals – the laughing stock of South East Asia – well at least they’re happy they have Myanmar in the neighborhood, so they’re not the bottom of the pile. Truly Asia My Ass!
