UMNO: barbaric, power-crazy and kris-wielding idiots
Umno Perlis delegate Hashim Suboh was quoted in a New Straits Times report yesterday as saying at the end of the debate on economy and education issues that “Datuk Hisham has unsheathed his keris, waved his keris , kissed his keris. We want to ask Datuk Hisham when is he going to use it?” (Malaysiakini.com, 18 November 2006)
Such blatant show of barbarianism and terrorism, idiocy and daft mentality. This is not the time and day to do this, not from someone who also holds the portfolio of Education Minister.
If the Malays in Malaysia accept this power-crazy, kris wielding, and bloody culture, from their leaders, then really Malaysia is no place for other races.
Its time to pack your bags. The world is big enough. And you know what, Malaysia could never prosper without the unity of races.

shame on you susan, i am malaysian of chinese origin. this is my home, when someone silly rattles an empty can, i cannot ask my family to move,
true, over 30 odd years, alot has changed, i cannot give up my home, i need to show the people, how the leaders have misled them for all the wrong reasons.
the village folk, where i live are still good to me. they dont threaten me in any way, we have lived together for 25 years or so.
in a way, because of the nep, it has caused me to work extra hard and become extra successful. i have lived in three countries that i have workd in, and you know what, i always missed home, malaysia.
i tell my children who are now studying overseas, it is up to them to choose where they want to work and raise their home, already one has said repeatedly she wants to come home.
what needs to be done is to show/ enlighten the people, that they have been taken for a ride by people who have their own interests at heart. education is the way.
true, you can say i did not live fully in Malaysia. I have seen and can compare malaysia against several other countries. it is still a very lucky country.

I agree with you Susan that they who talked so much are idiots who believe they have the rights to do anything in Malaysia. Still an ignorant and barbaric lots if not for others they would still be much left behind. They are so greedy, power crazy, and want as much as possible and always not having enough.

A keris weilding politician is 10 times better than a a politician that hikes the GST to 7% when the people still struggles to make ends meet. No government in the world is perfect HOWEVER some government are degenerating way faster than others.. No need to compare to 3rd world countries or the imperialistic USA..just take alook at your neigbour down south… Is Malaysia giving out citizenship to foreigners like givin out library cards?
Do not base an act of one politician and generalise the whole country.. A country is made of its countrymen.. How does Malaysians treat each other. If you are assaulted in a kampong, do people rush to your aid no matter what race you are? Over here..people just look and stare.
You guys have it good and you dont even know it. Peace.

From some of the comments that I get for this post…it’s obvious that people dont understand what I am saying. I dont hate the Malays. I have hundreds of great Malay friends, I was brought up in a kampung, I studied in a Malay school. Now I hate the Umno politicians and I always will.
We dont need to be told everyday that we are immigrants, that we have it good, that we are a charity case, because being of a different skin color, we are given the chance to live here.
Hell, we work as hard as anyone, we are born here, we speak the same language. Why then do people feel they are second class citizens? Why do people want to leave for greener pastures? This is the reality – for some there is really no other choice. Coz they have decided not to take this crap everyday, and they have the means to do so. People call this choice. No one has the right to demand patriotism from them when you dont give them a good reason to be one.
I say shame on you Loyal Malaysian because you can decide to stay in this country for all I care but I will not stop people from seeking greener pastures, and for a good reason at that. No one has to stay here and swallow all this crap if they dont want to. And who are you to say otherwise. And to you short sighted Sinkipore, I know how good we have it here, but we also could have it better. No one aspires to be like the worst of the lot. People always desire to be better.
For the two of you, I really do not know who you represent. But a lot of people are disturbed by the current events, and they have every right to be. So if you are happy in your little world, I am happy for you.But DO NOT expect me to live in your little world!

[...] Yes we live in a multi-racial and multi-cultural world. And therefore we should observe each other emotions and thoughts in order to create balance and stabilty. The kris-wielding effect to scare other race is certainly not helpful, and fiery emotional statements certainly doesn’t reflect the intellectualism of our leaders. [...]

My question for Loyal Malaysian. Why do you send your children to overseas for their education and allow them a choice of coming back to Bumiland?
So much for your taatsetiaism……

Susan, I agree with you too. The best thing for you & me (a 3rd class citizen ) to do is to move out. But perhaps I have a different rationale.
Firstly, I think that eventually, we will have another May 13. It is unlikely that our children or grandchildren will quietly put up with the kind of discrimination we’ve been through since childhood.
Secondly, I think that there is no where in the world where different races and religions can co-exist, when the ruling race is Islamic. They have a tendency towards religious fanatism and violence.
Thirdly, I think that the Chinese and Indians are generally very hardworking and talented. If every one of us were transported to a desert wasteland in the middle of the Australian continent, we will turn it into a metropolis in a few generations.
Lastly, I too have many good friends among the Malays – especially during my schooldays. It’s been 20 years since I’ve met any of them, but I still hold them in high regards. I think they will be better off without the prospects of racial violence between us every now and then, when irresponsible bastards like Hishamkeris fans the flames of racial hatred to better his own political standing.
Have you seen the old movie ‘Exodus’? Even when Jews and Moslems loved each other like brothers, religious fanantics still triumph.

Well replied Susan, to the so called loyal m’sian (just b’cos he’s the handful of non-bumi who’s extra successful – forgot about the majority of the minority not given the fair go) and sinkipore (knows nuts). For the past 30 yrs or more of my conscious growing up in Msia, we’ve been indoctrinated with the Muhibah spirit of living in harmony from all those wasted televised dancing and singing of patriotic songs…for what…when it comes to economic and well being of all M’sians, all those said and done are non-existant with constant discriminated policies being practised etc. So it’s really always been a case of childish acts, to hood wink and allow hypocrites to reign in M’sia for ever more as long as we continue to have people like loyal m’sian around.

I traveled the entire world (Literally) for the past 10 years, and I must say that NO single country is perfect (Not even USA, etc). Malaysia is ONE of the better ones.
The root of ALL the evil that is Malaysia today is NOT caused by one element or race only. It is a combination of all variables. The Malays while in control are not happy because they are poor, the Chinese on the other hand are rich but not happy because they are not in control. “Control” being-Govern!
The Malays need to learn to accept the other races massive contribution and stop the crap about their “Ketuanan”. There are no such thing if they believe that this earth is created by God.
In Sabah, I grew up with both the Muslims (Bajaus, and some Malays) and Chinese. NO such racial tension until UMNO came in and politicize race and religion. Now the situation in Sabah are more like here in west Malaysia.
The Chinese must stop thinking that I only love my country if my country loves me back. Common…I thought you Chinese are a lot smarter than that.?! Love is unconditional. You love this country because this is YOUR country. NOT the country of the Malays. It is as much yours as is theirs.
The real problem is the UMNO politicization of race and religion to control the average kind and mild Malays so that that they, the “Elites” who are the only ones fattened by the NEP can continue to prosper. Statistics don’t lie. The richest Malays are as rich as the richest Chinese, but on the average side it is like a like million miles behind the average Chinese. This is a wake call for all, especially the average Malays. Stop being “herd” and stop hating.
For the non Malays – STOP whining unless you are willing to make a difference.
Now…there are over 5 Million voters (mostly non Muslims) in this country that are NOT registered yet. Like I said…STOP YOUR STUPID WHINING, Haul your ass off your office, stop making money for a second if thats all that you guys do, and go get yourself registered as voters and VOTE. 5 Million is A LOT. Even if BN continues to Win, they would be hurt so bad that they will never be the same again and hopefully change their perspective about this race and religion thing.
