As a Malaysian who live here, i am quite sad indeed to see the situation in Thailand. It is one of the country in SEA which has progressing much in term of deocractic space and civil political rights since the last decade. Now, overnight , the set back gone to military plus feudalistic forces age rule again!
However, its really shows the internal weakness of the democratic struggle over here that had not able to get rid of influace and power of the military and the feudal forces , which we could withness how damage they could be -frm the nepali democractic movement struggle.

let hope this crisis will will “shake” this fundemanetal weakness and progress to the cmplete democratic reform here.

we should indeed solute those youths and students who dare to gathering and oppose during such a martial law period.
its a pity, very few ex students activists in the 1976 were missing in the gathering yesterday night. Where they have gone? ????

Thailand’s democracy, even at its very best, should always be seen within the framework of its feudal society (not just feudalistic forces) -always has been, always will be.
