that's the typical malaysian attitude. if you can't stand something, ban it. won't even ask why, wonder why you can't stand it, or whether it would affect anyone else if you ban it. as long as some top guy can't stand the sight of it – ban it.
when i learnt that the 'last communist' by amir muhammad http://lastcommunist.blogspot.com/ was banned in my country – malaysia – i was shaking with fury. i mean, what's next? red panties? we've been seeing this and that get banned – it could be a word, a thought, a book, an article, or simply a movement. yet the very thing that should be 'banned' from our lives are governments!
governments give others the right to ban, to hate, to kill – in short to make life miserable for others. when do governments end, and life begin….?
